2.2 froyo - With headphones plugged in, set incoming call ringtone to play through speaker

Thursday 14th of April 2011 / android.stackexchange.com
I use my phone to play music at work. When I wander away from my desk, I often leave my headphones plugged in. If someone calls my phone when the headphones are plugged in, the phone rings, but only through the headphones and I end up missing the call. What I would like is to be able to set different audio to play through different outputs: my audio player through my headphones and my ringtone through my speaker. I've looked through the sound settings and haven't found much that seems incredibly useful. Are there any apps that currently support doing this? Does the android api even support multiple audio output targets?Phone info:HTC Evo 4G (Rooted)FreshEvo 3.5.1 (based on android 2.2)

Not an option to turn off speaker sound with headphones plugged in?

Tuesday 05th of February 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
Hi, everyone. So I'm trying to figure out how to turn of the sound on the speakers while the headphones are plugged in. I am using this app to learn a language which I would like to use on my 20 minute bus rides to town, but I've tried every option in Settings to only make the sound come through the headphones, but without any luck. I've also Googled to find a solution to this problem, again without any luck. And only finding people speaking about the same issue. Does anybody know how to solve this problem? I will worship your toes.

Samsung Galaxy S3 Vibrating with headphones plugged in

Friday 01st of June 2012 / androidforums.com
I have just switched from HTC to Samsung G S3, so i don't know if this is normal. while listening to music on the S3 it vibrates to the bass even though your listening through head phones and no sound is coming out of the phones speakers, has anyone else found this? The louder you put the volume the more it vibrates, its only to the bass or bass drum. Is this a feature to say its getting too loud for your ears or something??I am not using the stock audio player, I am using Poweramp.

Notification sounds coming through speakers even with headphones plugged in??

Wednesday 13th of November 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
Just wondering if this is a bug or intentional? Whenever I have my headphones plugged in and I get a text notification (or any notification really) the noise plays through my headphones and through my speakers on my N5. Is this intentional and is there any way to stop this? I only want the noise coming through my headphones when they're plugged in.

stop notifications with headphones plugged in.

My headphones are plugged in but the notifications sound still plays even though my phone is in silent. Its annoying because it interferes with my music listening.

Phone function with headphones plugged in...

Wednesday 05th of February 2014 / forums.androidcentral.com
Greetings, anyone have success with this using their Droid Maxx? I searched and didn't find an answer, sorry if I missed it. I have Bose QC15's and didn't know there was a different standard for Apple . I bought a Headphone Mate cable from Amazon awhile back and I think I tried it but today I got it out to use it and only had sound from the L channel. I tried the Bose cables and they worked for sound. I know this is apparently two different issues but I read a review on Amazon that the Headphone Mate cable doesn't work on their MotoX but works on a Samsung Galaxy.

ZTE Majesty (Z796C) internal mic disabled with headphones plugged in

Saturday 08th of March 2014 / androidforums.com
I have a ZTE Majesty Z796C phone on the straighttalk network (Verizon towers). The current android OS on it is 4.1.2. When I first got this phone, I could plug it into a headphone adapter (audio cassette) so I could listen to MP3 music in my car. When someone called, the music would stop and I could talk to the person (I can hear them thru the car speakers) and they could hear me just fine. I noticed when in-call, the "speakerphone" button on the screen was greyed out so I could not select it. However, recently when I was traveling and doing this, when a person calls they cannot hear me but I can hear them fine thru the car speakers. I noticed on the screen the speakerphone button is available to select now. But if I select it, the caller can be heard from the phone's speaker instead of thru the car radio's speakers. I noticed with my cassette adapter or any set of regular headphones plugged into the phone, the icon that appears at the top of the screen is that of a headphone set with microphone - not just headphones icon. ZTE Majesty Z796C Touchscreen locks up

Tuesday 20th of May 2014 / androidforums.com
I have not found this problem on the Internet and I fear the worst. The touchscreen on my ZTE Majesty Z796C locks up a short while after booting up. There is heat in the area of the camera. I checked the battery and it's ok. I suspect a hardware problem (a short or something) where the phone heats up to the point where the touchscreen shuts down. Pull the battery and let it cool for five minutes and it works fine . . . for a few minutes. Has anyone heard of this problem? I figure I will have to return it to Straighttalk . . . which could take days. Unfortunately, I am a professional truck driver and I need my phone and the various apps for navigating and dodging tornados. I know I can transfer photos and contacts to the memory card, but can I transfer text messages or apps? How does one do this? Thanks
