Youtube login help.

Sunday 21st of February 2010 / forums.androidcentral.com
I've searched the forums and can't find an existing thread on this forum for this problem, however I doubt that I'm the first this has happened to. I have trouble logging into the youtube app on my Droid. Unless I link my youtube account with my gmail account I can't log into the app. That would be fine and dandy with me, however, the application will NOT remember my login data, so even though I'm already logged in, every single time I try to upload a video, it asks me AGAIN for my login information. It's a little tiring typing the e-mail address and password over and over and over and over again. The app is practically worthless, as I can stay logged in via the browser just fine. I tried unlinking the youtube account from the gmail account, but the application would not accept my password, even though it's the same password that works just fine in a browser. I've noticed that the app automatically adds @youtube.com to the end of my account name, and if I try to log in with @youtube.com after my account name in the browser, it won't work, so I imagine that's why the app isn't workin

YouTube account problem

Thursday 05th of April 2012 / droidforums.net
I have a YouTube account. It is set up with my username and linked to my @live email account. I do have a gmail account, but it is not the one I used to register my YouTube account. Here's my problem: When I try to log in to YouTube using the app on my phone it won't let me log in with my username. It will ONLY accept a gmail login. How can I get this app (if possible) to work with my YouTube account? Is there a way to create a new YouTube gmail account and LINK it to my existing channel? Or is there another way to get into this app with JUST my YouTube username and password? Thanks!Sent from my DROID RAZR using DroidForums

Changing YouTube account on DROID

Sunday 31st of January 2010 / droidforums.net
I'm not sure if there is an easier way, but I used this method to change account associated with the YouTube app on my DROID.1. I logged in to the PC and changed the password for the google account associated with my YouTube account. (If you aren't using a google account with your YouTube account, I suppose you could just change the password for your YouTube account).2. I went into the YouTube app on the DROID, and of course it now says it has a problem with your YouTube account. 3. On your DROID, go through the motions of uploading a new video. It will prompt you for a username/password.4. Enter the new username/password, and now your YouTube app will be associated with the new YouTube account.Again, there may be an easier way, but this is the only way I could figure out.

Gallery YouTube upload is stuck on wrong account

Wednesday 04th of August 2010 / droidforums.net
If I try to Share a video from my Gallery to my YouTube account - well basically I can't! The problem is the Gallery won't let me upload YouTube to YouTube through my main account! I have two gmail accounts on this phone and when I try to Share a video to YouTube the only choice I have for upload is to use my secondary account (which is bascially a junk mail dump) but that email doesn't have any Picasa or YouTube accounts or any extra services at all except Email. Even in the Sync options everything is unchecked except for email... I can't find a way in the Gallery or in the YouTube app that lets me change or alter which account is going to be used to upload. I have my YouTube account connected to my main Gmail/Google account (both have the same name and YouTube asked me for my Google info to link my account into my Google accounts). But for some reason the Moto Droid Gallery can only see the secondary email which doesn't have a place to Share anything! Not setup at least! Help! ***UPDATE*** I've gotten access to uploading to my main account from the Gallery... BUT... it can't rememb

Youtube app freezes when trying to log in

Saturday 24th of July 2010 / forums.androidcentral.com
So I'm an Android Newb. Just get my captivate yesterday. I got my wife one and myself one. Among the many questions I have, the most concerning is, why does my youtube app freeze, and have to be force closed, when I try to log into my account? I used my wife's and I'm able to log in no problem. The only difference is I have a few different apps then her, but the problem has occurred since I purchased the phone. Is there anyway to uninstall and reinstall this native application? Thanks in advance guys!

HTC One X - YouTube account problem

Wednesday 06th of June 2012 / androidforums.com
Ok, so when I log into YouTube on my laptop, all my subscriptions, likes, etc are there. But when I log into YouTube through the stock app on my brand new HTC One X, it lets me sign in, but none of my subs or likes are there... Weird, because if I open up my phone's browser and go to YouTube.com, and sign in there, everything is there: subs, likes, etc. Can someone tell me what I can do to get my stuff to show up when going through the YouTube app? Because it is annoying watching YouTube through the browser in my opinion, too cluttered and such Thanks

YouTube problem stressing me out

Sunday 04th of August 2013 / androidtablets.net
Had my tablet for over a year now and YouTube is simply making me want to put my fist through the screen The YouTube App wont work , every single time all I get is ' You haven't got an account linked to it , please go to m.Youtube/create channel blah blah blah 'MY ACCOUNT IS LINKED !!If I go to the m.youtube......... it says I have a Channel already , I have logged in with my proper Google+ account as well everything is above board , I have tried to delete it but nowhere in 'Settings' can I find to delete YouTube App from the Tablet , I have uninstalled updates and it isn't much better , of course it re installs as soon as I reboot. If I go to YouTube through a browser it isn't too bad , but I will close the browser and click on a link in a App or a site and it comes straight back with ' Your account isn't linked , to link go to .....'I don't even know why the hell I have to have my channel linked or even a channel at all , I just want to watch flaming videos in YouTube if they are posted on YouTube , why can't it be so simple like it is on your PC??

Videos don't play in the Youtube app, network errors also

Sunday 20th of April 2014 / androidforums.com
Hi everyone, recently got a G pad and am having problems mainly with the Youtube app, it won't play any video. The app opens properly, thumbnails and descriptions are there, but video never works. Sometimes a "network error" message is displayed, sometimes not. So far I've tried clearing the app data, clearing the app cache, and deleting then redownloading the app updates. Also tried restarting the tablet and syncing the Google account.Don't think it's an account problem because I can play Youtube video in the Chrome browser while signed in to the same account. Also the Youtube app on my phone works with the same account.Only other place I get that network error message is in the Play store. However with that tapping on the retry button works, the store does eventually open and work properly. All other apps including other video apps work normally.Any ideas short of a factory reset or returning the tablet? I'm using the stock 4.4.2 ROM, unrooted.
