Wrong SMS message count displayed
Monday 29th of April 2013
After reading/ deleting the messages, SMS message count is not reset. For eg, if there were 3 unread messages, even after reading all the messages count still shows as 3. Same issue is observed on deleting the messages also. Count is reset to a new value only after receiving new messages. Sometimes after opening some other application, count value is reset. But I am not able to to debug or know the pattern of resetting. When I bought this handset an year back, I had Gingerbread OS and the issue wasn't there. The issue was observed since it was upgraded to Icecream Sandwich and is still present even after upgrading to Jelly bean. Can you let me know what the issue may be?Mobile phone : Samsung Galaxy S2Model No : GT 19100OS : Jelly Bean (4.1.2)Baseband version : 19100DDLS9

Unread Text Message Count
Thursday 06th of October 2011
Can anyone tell me how to fix this? If you don't know what I mean, here is an explanation. Every time I get a text message, the un-read message count shows something like the total amount of messages that the phone has received since it was new. With my original Droid, it would reset every time I read the messages and tell me the accurate count of the text messages I actually have NOT read yet. Is there any way to fix this? Can I download an APP or something? I panic, every time I see more than 3 unread messages, because it usually means someone has been trying to get a hold of me and I didn't notice my texts. Plus its just plain WRONG. At least one Verizon support person told me they don't have a fix for it. I find this hard to believe, and hard to believe that when I searched it, I couldn't find any comments about it.

Message Count not showing for one contact?
Sunday 17th of February 2013
Okay so I encountered this problem on my phone and I have no idea how to fix it. Yesterday my when I was going to check my text messages, somehow all my contacts had been wiped out and none were saved in my phone anymore. (?) I didn't do anything to it, or at least I didn't think I did. So I spent quite a while re-syncing and saving my contacts from my Sim to Google contacts to my phone and etc. TODAY, another problem came up... Usually when I get a text message, it pops up in my notification bar notifying me I have a new text and when I click the envelope to check the message, it'll show the message count next to the person that sent me the text message. But somehow it's suddenly stopped showing for one person I thought it might just be the message center not showing for anyone so I asked my sister to send me a message and the message count showed up for her.I have some screen captures to show you what I mean. It shows I have 2 unread messages over my message envelope but when I tap open it, it only shows the message count for 1. I also tested it out with another person, having them

Droid Incredible Froyo 2.2- problem with stuck SMS message
Tuesday 07th of September 2010
As I was clearing my entire inbox, someone texted me at exact same time. Now that message is stuck and will not go away. It will start randomly streaming in my notification bar, and at the bottom of the unlock screen. When I click on the person's contact information, it always shows I have a new SMS message from them. If you attempt to click it to read it, it just says "loading" forever. Also, when I receive a text it will show that I have 2 new texts since that other one is stuck there and technically still "new" since I can't click it. This has been there for days. I tried restarting the phone, I tried taking the battery out, I tried some program called SMS cleaner.. that thing will NOT go away. I've received texts at the same time I was clearing them with 2.1 but I never had this problem until the upgrade to Froyo. Anyone know how to get rid of it or will I need to do a hard reset?

Sent messages show in message count - HTC Desire S
Wednesday 27th of July 2011
OK, so not a major issue...but slightly annoying!...I recently got an HTC Desire S and have noticed the annoying problem of sent SMS messages showing up as unread messages when I go into the SMS message app (not on home screen message counter). As soon as I go into the message thread it clears, but I am finding it quite annoying as obviously a sent message should not show up as an unread message.Anyone else with this issue on HTC?Any fix? Here's hoping...

If you attempt to click it to read it, it just says "loading" and my entire screen goes white. Also, when I receive a text it will show that I have 2 new texts since that other one is stuck there and technically still "new" since I can't click it. This has been there for days. I tried restarting the phone and I tried taking the battery out...I'm not sure what I should do??

Go SMS Pro Unread Message Count
Sunday 11th of August 2013
Hey guys. I just switched from my ancient iPhone 4 to a new Samsung Galaxy S4. I downloaded Go SMS Pro and I love it. However, the only thing that bothers me is the icon on my main page (the row of 5) does not show a little count or number of unread messages. I have switched the app to be my default messaging program, and adjusted the settings that were supposed to be changed. I still get the notification in the top left corner, but I would like to have the unread message count on the actual icon. Anyone know how to do this?
