OTA Update Failed - Now MIA - How do I get it back?
Wednesday 14th of November 2012
Hello all... I have a Galaxy Nexus, purchased from the Play store, not rooted, currently running Android 4.1.2, Build Number: JZO54K, not rooted, locked bootloader. Last night, I received an OTA update which I believe was for 4.2. I was extremely excited and immediately clicked on Restart & Update... While installing, the little android bot was displayed with a red exclamation mark (or triangle - can't remember exactly, but it was red and it didn't look good, so I had the feeling it was bad). In about 40 seconds or so, the phone restarted and 4.2 was nowhere to be seen Ever since, I've been hitting the 'Check now' button like my life, which I happen to really like, depends on it but I get nothing. I've also cleared out the Google Services Framework [app?] multiple times. I searched online, including this forum and have found nothing about this. I even went ahead and did a factory reset on the phone and NOTHING!!! Here's the thing: I know I can probably just wait and wait until I get the update again, but... 1) Does anyone have any idea what may have gone wrong? I mean I had unse

4.2.1 Update Always Fails. What to do Next?
Saturday 22nd of December 2012
I purchased my Nexus 7 32GB last weekend and have really enjoyed it. I have no issues with it except when I get the notification of the 4.2.1 upgrade. I begin the install process and then the green Android robot falls on his back and there is a red triangle over his abdomen. The device seems to hang for a few minutes and then it reboots and it is still running 4.1.2. I've attempted this update everytime that I am prompted to install it but the update always fails. Does this mean that there is something wrong with my Nexus? Should I take it back to the store and exchange it? I purchased it at Office Depot in a sealed box. It was the last Nexus 7 in their store. Or is this a common issue that will eventually get sorted out on its own?

Nexus S stuck in boot animation screen
Saturday 14th of July 2012
Hi all,I am new to rooting and mods, so please excuse me if I don't know what I'm talking about. So, back in January I rooted my phone and installed CyanogenMod on my Nexus S. I flashed an unofficial version of ICS that I found on the internet and I got it to work fine (although it was very laggy). Now that Google is rolling out the Jelly Bean OTA, I wanted to get that. But, from what I've read, you need to be on the stock ROM. So, I successfully unrooted it and got it back to the original version. Then, I tried updating it to the official ICS OTA through the "About Phone" section in settings. But, now, my Nexus is just stuck on the boot animation screen (ICS version). If I press the Volume Up + Power buttons, it goes into Fastboot Mode and there are four options: Reboot Bootloader, Reboot, Recovery, Power Off. It also says it's in a "Locked" state. Does that mean it's not rooted anymore? I clicked Recovery and it showed the dead Android with a white exclamation mark in a red triangle. On that screen, I clicked the Volume Up + Power buttons and it goes into "A

What does this mean?

When I hold the Power and Up volume on my phone, I get the Android Robo Logo but it is the little Green Bot lying down on his back with the front of the chest area open and a Big Red Triangle with a "!" in the middle and that is all. Nothing happens after that and I end up having to do a Battery Pull to start all over.Does this mean that I am locked out of being to get to the Boot Menu?
