restore - Original OS For Samsung Galaxy S I9000

Thursday 07th of April 2011 / android.stackexchange.com
Possible Duplicate: Where can I find stock or custom ROMs for my Android device? I put a ROM on my Samsung Galaxy S I9000 and now it doesn't fully work. I was wondering if there was a way to get the original ROM, that came with my device, from an official site somewhere. I was told that apparently you can do it on the Android site, but I can't see any place to do that.

Samsung Launches Two New Devices for China, SCH-i929 and Dual-Screen SCH-W999

Thursday 27th of October 2011 / talkandroid.com
Samsung has been on a roll lately with the announcement of new devices, two more are heading to China an I kinda wish they would come to the U.S. as well. With specs similar to the Galaxy S II LTE, the new Samsung SCH-i929 joins up with the recently reported SCH-i929, and with bags packed, heads for China Telecom. The first device (left) is the SCH-i929 and has some beefy-ass specs that some U.S. folks are gonna be jealous over: a dual-core Snapdragon processor clocked at 1.5GHz, 4.5″ Super AMOLED display, and a 8MP camera. The only real difference between it and the GSII LTE is the lack of LTE support.Sammy’s second unit, the SCH-W999 (left), is that cool clamshell hybrid I told you about a couple days ago with two 3.5″ Super AMOLED displays. With a revolutionary flip-design, the new SCH-W999, gives peeps the ability to use a flip phone without the loss of Android’s touchscreen goodness, times two! Rocking similar specs to its traveling partner, this hybrid device sports the same processor and GSM/CDMA connectivity but due to its form factor Sammy opted for a

Samsung Galaxy S II Upgrade Teased for IFA 2011

Thursday 18th of August 2011 / androidheadlines.com
We’ve gotten our first peek at what may well be the next generation Samsung Galaxy S II, or at least the idea of it, in a short 30 second teaser trailer for IFA 2011. This trailer is at the moment no longer available for public viewing (and will probably remain this way until we get a bit closer to the actual Berlin event,) but based on what we’ve seen, IFA 2011 is sure to have an “Unpacked” event that’ll reveal some sort of newness in the smartphone-holding hands of citizens in the form of bright lights. This advertisement took the form of the handheld torches sort of look we’ve been treated to in the past when the Galaxy S II was first teased, this new a…Continue Reading HereSamsung Galaxy S II Upgrade Teased for IFA 2011Chris Burns – androidcommunity.com

Help with OS for Samsung Intercept

Friday 05th of November 2010 / androidforums.com
I've been having a lot of problems the past week with my Samsung Intercept. It constantly freezes when I receive and make calls and it drops calls. The browser freezes and so does the handcent SMS. It will shut off on it's own without me turning the phone off. It is very frustrating and I am not sure why it keeps doing it. A friend told me to save all my music and pictures to my memory card and reinstall the OS. How do I reinstall the OS for the intercept or for an Android phone in general? Are there any websites that give you step by step instructions on how to do this? This is the only option I can think to do to fix these problems. I find it ridiculous that I have to do this after having the phone for only three months. Can someone please help me?Thank you.

upgrade OS for Samsung sch-i800

Tuesday 21st of January 2014 / androidforums.com
I have a Samsung Galaxy tablet model SCH-I800. Its a verizon tablet that I opted not to renew the contract on. I only use it on my Home Network. I am getting tired of all of the Verizon stuff on it and would like to streamline it to be used only for Web surfing and email. I guess my questions are:1.Can I get a faster OS or make this thing faster some other way?2.Is it even worth the trouble?
