Wednesday 10th of October 2012 / android.gs
If you are looking forward in getting a new QWERTY slider Android powered smartphone with 4G LTE connectivity on an affordable price tag and with decent specs on board, then I recommend you the LG Mach, which will soon be released through Sprint. This mid-range handset will be just perfect for the entry-level customers and for those who want a device that has a QWERTY keyboard on board, the Sprint 4G LTE network being another reason for buying the same. You have its main specs and features details displayed below, along with the rumored release date, so don’t hesitate and check the same. The Sprint LG Mach specs will include a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor Qualcomm MSM8960, 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of internal storage along with microSD slot expandable to 32 GB, a 5 MP camera on the back with a VGA front facing one and a large 4 inch WVGA display (480 x 800 pixels resolution). Unbricking an LG Mach

Saturday 06th of July 2013 / androidforums.com
Has anyone successfully unbricked a Mach yet? I am at the "Security Error", "Morningcall cannot be verified" screen ever since I uninstalled some Google Bloatware and restarted my phone.I have gotten as far as almost succeeding with KDZ, until it closes for some unknown reason.I have also tried the LG Mobile Support Tool, R & D tool, KP500, and Smartflash, to no avail.Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Solved: swap period and comma on LG Mach QWERTY keyboard

Thursday 13th of February 2014 / androidforums.com
If you've successfully rooted your LG Mach you can solve another dumb problem some idiots decided to inflict on us: having the comma and period reversed on the keyboard. For the first few months I had this phone I was sending a lot of text messages of run-on sentences because I learned QWERTY 30 years ago and I'm not pleased with people who move the keys around for no reason. Here's how I fixed it:- root the phone (see my other LG Mach post here- Solved (?): fixing the random disconnects from 4G )- install ES File Explorer- turn on Root Explorer mode and use the Mount R/W feature to switch /system to r/w From your command line open an adb shell. ... i.e.adb shellsu cd /system/usr/keylayoutvi l2s-keypad.klHere are the VI commands to fix and save the file, in case you don't know VI:/51You should see:key 51 COMMA WAKE_DROPPEDkey 52 PERIOD WAKE_DROPPEDxxi52[hit escape]/52xxi51[hit escape]ddkP:w!It should now look like:key 51 PERIOD WAKE_DROPPEDkey 52 COMMA WAKE_DROPPEDNow:exitexitadb rebootNow the keys will be swapped. Unfortunately the labels on them will still be wrong, and also the &qu

Traditional Voicemail for LG Mach

Wednesday 09th of April 2014 / androidforums.com
I just recently picked up the LG Mach with the Boost $35 promotion. The phone is definitely an upgrade over my Kyocera Rise in many ways. However......The Mach is rooted(as is the Rise). The Visual Voicemail app just plain sucks. I've removed it but now I can't get notified that I have voicemails. I found a file called "TraditionalVM.apk" in the system/app folder but when I try to install it I get a message saying it wasn't installed. Doesn't matter how I do it. I've got the option to install from unknown sources enabled.(one of the first things I trashed was MobileID as well which I find useless).I tried to find the app on the Rise but I can't find it at all - I have no idea what it's named. All it does is show that I have a VM in the notification area. When I click on it it dials VM. That's what I want. When I look in the play store all I find is more garbage. So does anyone have any suggestions? Also, the Rise has an ICE app(for In Case of Emergency) that has an option on the lock screen. I installed an ICE app from the play store but there was no option on the lock screen.
