Fake Samsung Galaxy S3? - Page 2

Tuesday 05th of March 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
Of course I know the different, but my friend is not big in technology, he didn't know if it was real or not because he has an Iphone, and only knows about the Iphone. This was the first time purchasing a Samsung. I got a real one after the day getting it fake, I bought one off my other friend but the sides are a bit dented, the cover on the back is a little scratched. But the screen & camera and everything is perfectly working, I'm going to buy a new back cover, and get a case to cover the sides up. (y) Which will be interesting, but I love it so far and it's perfect & working fine.

S3 camera issue - videos and photos not working!!

Monday 18th of June 2012 / androidforums.com
Hi all,After being an iPhone person since 2007, I've finally decided to go for an Android phone. Got my S3 on the launch date and loved it... However...I've made a few videos on my S3 and roughly half of those are not working when I try to play them. On the gallery when I click the video icon, the first message that I get is "Unable to load photo" and then when I click on the "play" icon on this error screen, the following pop-up message comes up "Sorry, this video cannot be played". Also, when taking a few pictures consecutively, most of them are not being saved correctly, they are on the Gallery but it is just a big blur, I can't see anything at all on the picture or thumbnail.I've checked the video and image files, they all appear to be of a large size, thus something is being saved on it, but cannot play or see anything...The camera files are being saved on a 32Gb mini sd hc card (kingston, 10 speed rating), could the card be causing this? Or is it a hardware/software problem? Is anyone having this issue? Thanks!

The buttons have quit working on my Galaxy S3!

Tuesday 23rd of July 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
I can't turn it on with the buttons. The only way I can get the screen to show up is when I plug it into the charger. The pull down still works and so does the back button, but I cannot do anything else with the phone. I had a few messages, but when I tried to read them it removed them from the text queue. The settings button does not work either, so I can't do a factory reset on it. It has not gotten wet. The only thing I can think of that may have caused this is it was dropped a few days ago. It has been working fine until now though. What can I do to resolve this problem?? I'm trying to take the case off to take out the battery, but that is proving harder than I remember it when I initially got the phone. Never mind, I got the back cover off and took the battery out... problem solved!

It is expensive to repair?

Now the lcd screen does not respond to touch. The screen works fine but i cannot do anything since it does not respond when i touch the lcd. My question is, if i replace this with a new ribbon willl the lcd screen start working again?

Touch screen on galaxy s3 quit working

Saturday 01st of March 2014 / forums.androidcentral.com
So last night my touch screen stopped working, so my phone is useless it turns on it rings and I get text messages but I can't answer calls or read the messages cause the screen doesn't work. I've not dropped the phone, it's not gotten wet so I have no idea what the problem could be. So far I have taken the battery out and put back in a number of times (each time with fingers crossed) I have plugged it into the charger it charges fine I hooked it up to my desktop again all it did was charge. I did read a thread somewhere last night top put it in the freezer for 15 minutes with the battery out it should fix the issue, well it did for three minutes so I basically have to do that in order to make a call or send a message. I did put it in the freezer then hook it up to the computer and download all my pictures so I have those backed up. But is there anything I can try that will solve this issue?.Thanks
