Friday 23rd of November 2012 / androidtablets.net
PLEASE HELP!!! I AM TOTALLY NEW AT ALL THIS ELECTRONIC "STUFF"........I just purchased a Polaroid 7" android internet tablet today and am not able to connect to the internet. Under wi-fi settings on the tablet, it doesn't show my signal, nor does it scan for a signal. I have wi-fi on my cell phone and it is on (called a hot spot). I also came over to my home laptop, connected my cell phone AND tablet in to the USB ports. I'm still not able to connect my tablet to the net. What am I doing wrong? PLEASE somebody, walk me through how to correct this or do I need to return this tablet to where I purchased this?THANK YOU for any help you can provide.

Asus Transformer Prime possibly delayed until early 2012 for 'Wifi issues'

Saturday 10th of December 2011 / androidcentral.com
*Update* ASUS US states there is no delay to speak of: "At this point, we still show to be on schedule to start shipments the week of 12/19."We've received several tips from readers who have pre-ordered an ASUS Transformer Prime from Amazon or other retailers, stating that because ASUS feels the Wifi range is not adequate, they have delayed the worldwide launch until the beginning of 2012. We've reached out directly to ASUS but, as the calendar reminds us, it's the weekend so we've not heard back as of yet.I happen to have our review unit of the Prime here, and will have to agree. Signal strength apps aside (real world use trumps numbers), the Prime does have a bit weaker signal when a good distance from my router (Netgear wireless N dual-band model) when compared to most other phones, Netbooks, or the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. It's not a big issue in my environment, but ASUS rightly feels that this should be addressed before release. The world's first quad-core penta-core tablet deserves to be done right when released. We'll be sure to update wh

Acer 100 GPS signal poor/not working

Sunday 07th of July 2013 / androidtablets.net
Hi All,I have recently installed an Acer A100 tablet into my car to use for GPS navigation which went well the very first day using NAVFree USA. The second day trying to use the navigation it gives the "poor GPS" signal and NEVER does find my location...What a bummer.I am running this tablet in "offline" mode not connected to wifi or using any data just purely off the GPS signals. I have also installed AutomateIt to automate some tasks - When power is connected: Airplane mode OFF, Wifi OFF, Bluetooth ON- When power is disconnected: Airplane mode ON, Bluetooth OFF, Screen sleep after 30 seconds. I cannot for the life of me get it to work again. I have tried downloading other apps and it seems they too cannot find my location via the GPS signal either. I have also ended the tasks running and tried reinstalling. I've also tried rebooting the device. I want GPS navigation just to show what streets im on, what streets are coming up next. I DO NOT use GPS for coordinates/poi directions. Thanks

Nexus 5 WiFi/Cell Orange Icons...

Tuesday 03rd of December 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
Hello AC, I noticed the past couple days that when I swipe down with 2 fingers from the top of my Nexus 5 screen, both my WiFi and cellular signal icons appear in orange rather than white. I've seen online that this indicates a bad connection to Google Services, even though my overall WiFi connection is perfectly fine. Speed tests are normal, the only performance issue I've noticed is my Facebook app now takes forever to update and when it finally does, pictures & videos don't show up. This may not be the only app experiencing problems but it's just one that I've noticed. The other strange thing is that I'm having the same exact issue on my Nexus 10 tablet running 4.4 Kit Kat. It leads me to believe there is an issue with Google services or my Google account and not the device, as I have 2 completely different devices having the same behavior. This has only been a problem for about the last 2 days or so. Has anyone else been experiencing this issue and/or have you found a solution for it? Any help would be much appreciated!
