After 4.1.2 Update, Phone Will Not Wake Screen While In Call

Saturday 27th of April 2013 / droidforums.net
Hello,I am currently using a Verizon Droid 4 which has recently been updated to JB 4.1.2 (exact version: 98.72.18.XT894.Verizon.en.US).My phone is not rooted; save the apps, everything is stock.Every time I use my phone without a Bluetooth hands-free connection, immediately after entering a call, the phone goes dark and I can not "wake" the phone through the normal means (power button). If I connect a Bluetooth hands-free connection, I can "wake" the phone to end a call, put the phone on mute, etc. This was never an issue prior to the upgrade. Is this a sensor issue? A hidden setting?Added note: I am using a screen protector. I removed it and found that once the phone is away from my face the proximity sensor allows for the functionality that was once allowed via a "screen wake". Did they remove this feature in 4.1.2?It is perhaps the most annoying thing about using the phone at the moment since the upgrade.

Wifi not connecting after 4.1.2 update.

Wednesday 27th of March 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
Tuesday morning around 6:50 am, my phone received the system update to 4.1.2. I have a Droid 4 by Motorola. After receiving the update, my phone will no longer connect to my home wifi. Before the update, it worked just fine. I know my router is old and doesn't have the WPS option, but is there anyway to go around this or am I just screwed? I'd really like to be able to use wifi on my phone at home. I've tried everything from changing the security settings on my router to restarting my phone and forgetting the networks.

Corporate email (Exchange) not syncing after 4.1.2 update

Friday 19th of October 2012 / forums.androidcentral.com
My Exchange was working fine until the 4.1.2 update, it stopped syncing all together. So, I delete the account, cleared the cache and data, re set it up. I takes all the setting and then goes to the Inbox and just sits at waiting to sync?? I have contacted Google but they are no help. Everything else seems to be working fine (Data, Play store, Gmail sysnc, etc..). PS my VZW GNEX syncs just fine with the same Exchange account (hosted by Intermedia) Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas and or suggestions?

Tab 2 not shutting down after 4.2.2 update

Friday 06th of September 2013 / androidforums.com
After the 4.2.2 update was pushed, my tab will not stay shut off. When I power off, it keeps turning itself back on but then goes to sleep. This causes the battery to drain faster. Does anyone know how to make the thing shut down and stay shut down until I want it to turn back on?
