Mount Your SD Card To Your Phone And PC At The Same Time With Dual Mount SD Widget

Saturday 22nd of June 2013 / androidpolice.com
While I may love many, many things about Android, that doesn't mean that it lacks any annoyances. Of those annoyances, the inability to mount the SD card in the phone and PC simultaneously ranks close to the top of the list. Thankfully, there are apps like Dual Mount SD Widget to save the day. This app is for rooted devices only. What Dual Mount SD Widget does is quite simple, but extremely helpful: it allows you to mount your SD card to your phone and PC at the same time. This means that you'll be able to transfer files to and from your phone via USB without losing the ability to run apps that are stored on your SD card. Of course, in order for this widget to do its thing, you need not use the built-in mounting option, and you must disable Android's auto-mount (but the widget includes its own auto-mounting option). The app will set you back $0.99, and you can grab it by hitting the widget below.Dual Mount SD Widget[via Good and Evo] Tags:dual mount sd widgetmountsd cardwidget

When's the last time you used voice and data at the same time?

Thursday 15th of April 2010 / androinica.com
AT&T has made a big deal of its users being able to use data and phone connections at the same time. I have that same function as a T-Mobile subscriber, but I honestly can’t remember the last time I needed to use it.Maybe I just don’t travel in the kind of circles as other folks, but I don’t care much about whether or not I can use voice and data connections simultaneously. I talk to my friends and family and then go online. I don’t have the type of conversations where I need to book tickets for a Final Four game while talking. And on the off chance something like that ever came up, I would go to my laptop, not try to navigate StubHub on my phone. Aside from being able to download something to the phone and make calls while the download continues in the background, it’s a non-issue for me. But again, I rarely need to download large files from my phone.I know that there are people out there who actually want the ability to use both types of connections, so I’d like to ask how often you need that privilege. Answer this poll and, if you can, add your

Talk and surf at the same time?

Friday 24th of August 2012 / droidforums.net
So, I was quite surprised to figure out that on the Rezound we can surf and talk at the same time, like AT&T users? Even on 3G, which I thought was impossible on Verizon's network. Was in the grocery store last night, service inside the store is crappy but they have free WiFi... I am on the phone and, thinking I was on WiFi, opened a web page to look something up, but then I realized WiFi wasn't even on, and I wasn't connected with 4G, but I was connected with 3G, and the page loaded fine and at 3G speeds.I thought this could only be done with WiFi or 4G (I know the Rezound has separate radio for LTE and CDMA/Voice), but not with 3G, or am I just nuts? Is this new or have we always been able to do this, I was pretty sure I tried it once by accident and it didn't work several months ago but it did last night. I tested it again this morning at home, toggling off WiFi and forcing the phone in to CDMA Only mode and indeed I was able to surf and talk at the same time on 3G.

Straight Talk - Talk and surf at the same time?

Monday 17th of December 2012 / androidforums.com
I am using an AT&T Sim with Straight Talk and I can't talk and surf at the same time. It completely shuts down my data when I'm on a call. Surely the N4 can handle it so it makes me think that something is wrong with my APN settings. Can somebody confirm that I should be able to do it when I'm in a 3/4G area?

YAY...I can talk AND surf AT THE SAME TIME!!!

Monday 10th of December 2012 / forums.androidcentral.com
Ok maybe this isn't really news BUT I was talking to a friend when she asked a question about a local restaurant. Without thinking I opened the browser on my phone... started looking up the info... then realized I was talking AND using the internet at the same time! This was something I could not do on my last phone and I use to hate it. Yet another lovely reason to love my Note 2.

I am on Verizon 4G.Maybe someone could enlighten me. How is this possible? Is verizon allowing talk and data at the same time? Thanks!

AT&T Commercials: On VZW you can't talk and surf at the same time! - Page 2

Since this exact threads pops up about once a week, maybe there should be a sticky that says "No, the AT&T ads are not lying to you. No, you did not surf the internet while talking on the phone using 3G because you were on your home's wifi"...

Voice and Data at the same time?

Tuesday 10th of September 2013 / androidforums.com
Can the Verizon Droid Maxx do voice and data at the same time? It's something the Razr Maxx HD can do, though it really wasn't advertised. It isn't something I would expect to need to use often, but I did have to use it recently and it came in VERY handy.
