Browser won't open in home page

Monday 16th of August 2010 / droidforums.net
Hi all, every time I open my browser it opens to the previous page I was looking at instead of the home page I set it to in the browser settings menu (google). Very annoying. What gives? How to fix? Cheers.

Atrix browser always opens to last viewed page, right?

Saturday 02nd of April 2011 / androidforums.com
Just doublechecking. When I open the Atrix browser it always goes to the last viewed page, right? Most browsers open to your home page whenever it is opened or reopened or at least there is a "home" icon on the toolbar to get you back to it fast. The Atrix browser is different, right? It always opens to the last viewed page and there is no "home" icon. Right? Any way to change this? Thanks

Straight Talk browser re-directed to odd 'home' page

Tuesday 11th of June 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
My staright talk ZTE Merrit phone (their AT&T service version) keeps starting on an odd page "m.tracfone.com/sid" that keeps trying to convince me to enter in my phone number because "Please not your browser experience has been enhanced. Complete the following steps soto finalize the update." It shows the Tracfone, Net10, Safelink and telcel logos on the top of the page and has a field below to enter the cell number. First: My assumption is that this is totally bogus, but has anyone else seen this?Second: How the H3ck do I get RID of this annoyance short of resetting the phone to factory settings? (Not that I have really modified it that much.. but still)

On Straight Talk, did you have to manually configure your APN settings for data?

Sunday 20th of October 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
On a new AT&T Straight Talk account with a Nexus 4, are APN settings and data functioning by default when you inserted your micro-sim and activated, or did you have to to manually input APN settings to get data to work?

Go home Straight Talk, you're drunk.

Thursday 28th of November 2013 / androidforums.com
So last night on my way out of town, I noticed that my phone charger was not working. Figuring it had rattled around too much in my glove box and been broken, I stopped at Wally World to pick up a new one. I noticed a rack of Straight Talk accessories, which I didn't know existed. Among them was a row of chargers for various brands of android phones. Obviously because of the european charger standards, all of them are identical. Which begs the question, why not save the packaging costs and just sell them under one general package(like the one on the right, lol)?

improving Straight Talk (AT&T) coverage at home and work with microcell?

Sunday 01st of December 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
I am using a Straight Talk (AT&T) sim with my Nexus 4. In my home, there are places where I get some sketchy cell service causing phone calls to go in and out. At work, some areas are in old brick buildings with no coverage at all. I'm wondering if an AT&T microcell is the way to go. Theoretically, I am thinking that improving AT&T coverage would give me better Straight Talk coverage as well. Without a microcell to try out on my own, I'm wondering if anyone here has tried this out and confirm it does (or does not) work. Thanks in advance for sharing your experience.

Why does the stock browser even have a "home page" option?

Monday 10th of February 2014 / androidforums.com
Why does the stock browser even bother allowing you to set a homepage url if nothing ever actually goes to the home page? The stock browser will open in only one of two states: the last page(es) you visited or a blank page. That's it. The browser will never open on anything but one of those two options. So why do you get to set a homepage in the options if there is no homepage button and the browser never opens at "home?" Anyone?

Switched from Straight Talk T-mobile sim to AT&T sim and now my Moto X doesn't work

Tuesday 17th of June 2014 / forums.androidcentral.com
I have been using Straight Talk since February 2014. I was using the AT&T sim in my Galaxy S2, and about 1 month ago I bought a new Moto X phone (unlocked). I put the Straight Talk T-mobile sim card in and that worked right away without any issues for about 1 month. A few days ago, I decided to switch back to AT&T, because I got better cell service at my house when I used AT&T with my Galaxy S2; however, after I went through the process to switch, my phone no longer works. I should clarify that it sometimes allows me to make/receive a phone call or pull up a webpage, but about 5 minutes later it stops working again and shows no reception or 4G. I have been on the phone with Straight Talk at least 7 times, and they just have me turn my phone on and off and reset the APN settings. Nothing works. I've even resorted to trying to use my husband's extra AT&T nano sim to see if that would work, and it is the same thing. This is the third sim card I have tried with no resolution (2 x AT&T and 1 T-mobile). Please help!!!!
