AT&T Samsung Infuse 4G delivers 4.5-inch SuperAMOLED Android phone for $199

Thursday 05th of May 2011 / androinica.com
Samsung and AT&T introduced the Infuse 4G at CES in January. It took an additional four months, but we finally know when will the AT&T Infuse 4G be released, and how much it will cost: May 15, $199 dollars on a two-year agreement.AT&T and Samsung held a special press event today in New York City to announce the Infuse 4G. The device comes with an almost complete list of what everyone wants in a new phone, including a massive 4.5-inch SuperAMOLED touchscreen, 8 MP camera that films 720p video, 1.3 MP front-facing camera for video chat and self-portrait, and packs it all into a very thin package. So thin, the device measure at only 8.9 mm, which Samsung claims makes it the thinnest 4G device in the U.S.Two items are missing from the dream phone list. The Infuse 4G comes with Android 2.2 (Froyo) instead of the more recent 2.3 (Gingerbread) with TouchWiz layered on top of it. It also uses a single core processor rather than the dual core set to be a standard in the next round of Android phones. However, the 1.2 GHz single processor is nothing to sneeze at. Gingerbread Update For AT&T Samsung Infuse 4G On Hold

Tuesday 07th of February 2012 / talkandroid.com
If you own an Infuse 4G, you’ll be disappointed to hear that Samsung and AT&T have put the upcoming update to Gingerbread on hold. It seems that there’s an issue that targets a small number of users and they’re currently working on a fix. Surely the teams at Samsung and AT&T will be able to get this update around to Infuse 4G users sooner rather than later.Source: SamsungVia: Android Central» See more articles by Josh O’Donnell//

Well that didn’t take long at all. If you’re looking for a very simple and quick way to unlock and root your AT&T or Sprint HTC One, you can do it now thanks to hasoon2000 over at XDA. He already posted a toolkit for the international version a month ago, so this is very similar. This desktop application will install HTC Drivers, unlock the bootloader, and flash your own recovery. You want to make sure you grab the correct download that matches the carrier version of your phone so hit the appropriate source link below for instructions.//sources: XDA - Sprint version / XDA - AT&T version / XDA – International version» See more articles by Robert Nazarian//

Straight Talk APN Settings for Internet and MMS for At&T Samsung Galaxy SII Skyrocket

Saturday 30th of March 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
Like many new ST customers, I had issues with my service, as well. I am using an At&t Samsung Galaxy II Skyrocket, on Straight Talk, running Jellybean 4.2. I recently activated my Skyrocket on ST and had issues accessing the internet and sending/receiving mms with the APN setting that ST has on its website. After putting these APN settings in, below, my calls, internet, & mms are now all working great. I have all 4 bars inside of my house, I am able to send and receive pic txt & calls, & access the internet. After saving these APN settings, powering down my phone, and then restarting my phone, it took a good hour or so before everything started working properly. My APN settings are: Name: straight talk APN: att.mvno Proxy: proxy.mvno.tracfone.com Port: 80 Server: not set MMSC: MMS proxy: mms2.tracfone.com MMS port: 80 MCC:310 MNC: 410 Authentication type: none APN type: not set I hope this helps.....

Straight Talk APN Settings for Internet and MMS for At&T Samsung Infuse i997

Monday 13th of May 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
HELP! I am getting so very frustrated, I can only sometimes access the Net on my Infuse with Straight Talk and cannot hear anything on phone calls. Text messages come and go just fine but picture messages come through far and few in between. Straight Talk of course says nothing is wrong on their end and it's all me. I can make phone calls perfectly through my PINGER app so I know it is not my phone. I have tried so many APNS through different threads. The following being the most common reoccurring one but I am not able to save that APN and MNC will not change to 410, 41 but not 410. But it doesn't matter any way because I am not able to save the APN. Please Help I am so frustrated.
