eris camera app on the droid - is this possible?

Friday 12th of February 2010 / droidforums.net
So I was at a concert last night and my friend had the eris. I was interested to see how much better the camera software seemed, the zoom function, the overall brightness level etc. Since they are both running android is there not a way to copy that eris camera app to the droid, maybe improve it somehow?Better still would be if someone could port over the apple camera app to android.. I know that's sacriligious to say but it's hard not to admit that that the apple camera software is light years ahead of the droid in terms of usability etc.

EVO 4G stock camera app

Tuesday 08th of June 2010 / androidforums.com
Not sure where to post this? (Mods, please move where appropriate) I installed the YouTube HQ .apk from HTC EVO 4G and it worked flawlessly. Is it possible to port the stock camera app from the EVO for use on the Eris? I like the handy "on screen" shutter button.

Motorola Releases Motorola Camera App On The Play Store, Only Works With The Moto X For Now

Thursday 31st of October 2013 / feedproxy.google.com
Seemingly following in Google's footsteps, Motorola has released one of its phones' core applications on the Play Store today, in the form of Motorola Camera. Unlike Google's apps, though, it doesn't seem likely the Motorola Camera app will be making its way onto non-Moto devices - it's only compatible with the Moto X.Likely, the app is simply a way for Motorola to quickly update the camera software on its smartphones without having to develop its own app updating system, similar to the practice it began by putting Touchless Control on the Play Store. You can probably expect the Moto Camera app to expand compatibility to the DROID line of phones at some point, but I wouldn't bet on it going much further than that. This app will update the existing camera app on your Moto X, and claims to increase viewfinder brightness, allow quick capture to be enabled under more enterprise IT policies, and squash some bugs. You can get it, assuming you have a Moto X, at the Play Store link below.Motorola Camera Tags:motorola cameramotorola camera app
