Touch screen is NOT working after upgrading to android 4.0

Monday 02nd of April 2012 / androidforums.com
Hi Everyone, I bought my phone from Canada and I am using it in Europe as I have been here last a few months. Yesterday, I had a software update message with 300 mb size and I approved this because it was an update from HTC and I wanted my phone to work under android 4.0 & HTC Sense 3.6. After the update, I thought it was successful. Well, I guess I was wrong because after updating I can NOT use my touch screen at all. I cannot enter my pincode for the simcard and even I put a different sim card, I cannot unlock the ring. Touch screen is not working at all. I even tried factory reset! I reset to factory settings at least twice or three times but it does not work either! I have been searching on the internet since yesterday and saw many forums, messages saying S-ON and S-OFF thing. I looked at it but using volume up/down button as well as power button together and it shows the messages below. *** LOCKED *** PYRAMID PVT SHIP S-ON RL HBOOT-1.27.0000 eMMC-boot Jan 12 2012, 17:33:34 What did I do exactly? Some Games Stopped Working After Updating To Android 4.2

Sunday 24th of March 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
Hi everyone. I have some high-graphics games on my Nexus 7. They all ran well until the device downloaded and updated to Android 4.2. Now, some games including Prince of Persia, Sonic 4, Real Boxing, ... do not run. They all say they can not 'find' their data files (usually located at sdandroiddata or sdandroidobb). NFS Most Wanted (has separate data) and all other games that do not have separate data files work perfectly.I guess it must be related to the change Android made in its storage structure. '0' and 'legacy' appeared and it seems that my games can not find their data files any more. Is there anything I can do to get my lovely games back? Thanks.

Warning: Galaxy Nexus (GSM Version) Suffering From Signal Loss After Updating To Android 4.0.4

Thursday 05th of April 2012 / phandroid.com
Should have seen this coming. Bugs after an Android update are often a common occurrence ’round these parts, and now it’s Galaxy Nexus user’s turn to share in the sorrow after updating their devices to Android 4.0.4. Apparently, this bug is a pretty nasty one. Users have taken to Google’s Android issue tracker and are reporting that after updating to Android 4.0.4., their device has been experiencing connectivity issues whenever entering sleep/screen off mode. Once asleep, the Galaxy Nexus will completely lose signal, causing missed calls, texts, push notifications and anything else that requires signal. Yeah, not good.Google has acknowledged the issue and is asking for users to submit bug reports to help with developing a solution. In the meantime, rooted users can either clock their CPU’s minimum clock speed to 700MHz to help alleviate the issue or simply revert back to Android 4.0.2 where I currently am sitting pretty. Oh, and if you’re on Verizon Wireless with a CDMA version of the Galaxy Nexus, don’t worry. The issue seems to only be wit

Updating to Android 4.2.2

Sunday 07th of July 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
Hello everyone, I've had my android phone for well over a year and a half now, and I am finally brave enough to enter the world of 'rooting.' I have a Droid 3 XT862, and it is stuck on a very old version of android as it was one of few phones to not receive the upgrade to gingerbread/jelly bean. I've found a way to update to Android 4.2.2, the instructions are very clear, but I am unaware of the risks/any precautions I should take before doing it, and if it'll work. Here is the link to the information I found. My question is, what should I do to back up my phone/how do I backup my phone, and are these instructions good to go? Link: Also!, will updating remove all my contacts/music/ect..?

Handcent not working after upgrading to Android 4.4.2

Friday 25th of April 2014 / forums.androidcentral.com
My S4 updated this afternoon to Android 4.4.2. After that, Hangouts is now the default text message program. When going into Settings and Default Applications, it shows Hangouts as the default. Handcent is not listed as an option; History Eraser and MyBackup which makes no sense. I am using Handcent 4.9.1.

My keyboard doesn't work after updating to Android 4.3??

Wednesday 09th of July 2014 / forums.androidcentral.com
My keyboard isn't working anymore. I accidentally clicked the install button and it updated to Android 4.3. After the update finished, I came back to the home screen to unlock my phone but it didn't work because ''unfortunately keyboard has stopped working''. To solve the issue I hard reset my phone. This only removed the password but my keyboard still doesn't work. I can't download any apps because I can't log in into my email on Google play. So what should I do? Is there any way of resolving this issue myself? Or will I need to take it to repair? P.S: Is there any way I can enter my log in details without the keyboard? If I can manage to do that then I can install an alternative keyboard.
