USB Storage Blank or Has Unsupported File System?

Monday 28th of January 2013 / android.net
I just accessed my gallery and it comes up with no items, and a message that says "SD card being used as a mass storage device". I cant take pictures because when i press the camera it says "Turn off USB storage before using camera".In the notification center, there's a message that reads "Blank USB storage - USB storage blank or has unsupported file system"This has happened all of a sudden, i haven't changed anything on my phone, it was just spontaneous and has never happened to me before.

2.2 froyo - Android 2.2 - External SD card not working - says "Blank External SD card" -- Why?

Sunday 19th of December 2010 / android.stackexchange.com
OS: Android 2.2Device: Samsung Galaxy SAll of a sudden my external SD card has stopped working.Error Notification:> Blank External SD card> > SD card blank or has unsupported file system. The last thing I did before this was to record some video, which was set to record to the external card, and then plugged it into USB. I also installed USB drivers for the phone from Softpedia as Windows wasn't recognaising it by default. After installation the phone's memory showed up as a removable disk but the external card did not. Then after unplugging the device from the PC I had that error in the notification bar.How do I recover my SD card? Do I need to format and therefore stand to lose the data on it?

Sd card blank or has unsupported file system

Wednesday 06th of July 2011 / forums.androidcentral.com
Curious if anyone has seen this error. My sd card is not readable on any android phone or computer ive tried it on. What I think broke it was the NEW SD CARD storage optimizer by Kalyani, I opened it up after downloading off the android market and used a feature called file explorer. It took forever to read all the files on my card and eventually I closed it out before its completion and immediately noticed my sd card is now inaccesable. Is that error fixable or should I throw out the card?

"SD Card blank or has unsupported file system"

Wednesday 29th of December 2010 / androidforums.com
So I downloaded the latest OTA update last night, and it installed just fine (phone worked fine, etc). I went to bed later last night, then when I woke up this morning, I got a "SD Card blank or has unsupported file system" message! The first message I got was actually something a bit different. Unfortunately, I can't remember exactly what it was, but I clicked on the notification and it tried to do something with the SD Card (probably remount it or something), and ever since I've been getting the "SD Card blank or has unsupported file system" thing. Now my only option given when I click on this notification is to format the SD Card. This is really annoying; I don't want to format my card and lose all the data! Are there any 'fixes' for this? I noticed a lot of people had this problem with the original HTC Desire.P.S. I haven't rooted my phone or anything like that, so that wouldn't be an issue.Edit: I tried all the usual stuff such as rebooting, taking the battery out, reseating the mem card, etc, numerous times to no avail. I got so tired of it that I just tried t

Bad update? About a week ago the SD card in my friends droid stopped working, now mine?

Tuesday 13th of December 2011 / androidforums.com
It says "Blank SD card. Sd card blank or has unsupported file system" But it says it has 6.06 GB available out of 18 GB. I tried opening it on the pc to try to save what was in it and it says it cannot read it anymore either; that I need to format it. Neither the computer or the phone will let me format it. when I click format, it asks if I am sure then does nothing. grrr.... I even tried running pandora recovery on it or AVG to scan it & it just doesn't want to be read. There was no recent trama to it. Now, on my android, the sd card has been going in & out as well & its draining the battery 3x a day & my dad's htc is just getting stuck in BIOS & dying. What the crap is going on? Is there a bad update out there?

"SD card blank or has unsupported file system"

Wednesday 25th of December 2013 / androidforums.com
So I recently got a 64 gb micro SD for my Kyocera Event. It is a Sandisk Ultra, the type specifically advertised as being for the event. After first inserting it, I got this error and the event offered to format it. I did, but the error persisted. I then formatted the card in windows, first with the windows utility and then with the SD association program. The card still does not work in my Event; I get the same error. The card does store information from the computer with no problem. In addition, I have a 2 gb SD card that works fine in the event, so I tried to copy and paste all the data from it into the 64 gb card. The card still shows up as blank.I thought there might be a problem with the phone's software, so I backed up and reset the phone. Still nothing.I have to be missing something obvious. Help?
