Charger Plugged In, battery level stays at 5%

Tuesday 10th of April 2012 / droidforums.net
I have a DROID1 obviusly, non rooted (obviously) and the battery is drained to 0%. When I plug it in the phone boots up and everything, but the battery icon in the top right stays at the red point (isnt it supposed to animate?) and there is also a "lightning bolt" icon in the battery icon. I went into the settings and it says the battery is "AC charging) or something along those lines, so it RECOGNIZES the charger. but it wont charge?? I just order this phone yesterday, could it be the chargers? I've tried two so far the one it came with (which looks like its an off brand one) , and another off brand one that was for my Motorola Devour...........sigh* please help. I was thinking maybe i could do a hard reset? but how would I perform that if my phone is dead?

Brand new HTC one V wont turn on

Tuesday 12th of June 2012 / androidforums.com
So, i recently ordered an htc one v from my service carrier online (koodo) and when i got it i wasnt able to turn it on. I have tried holding down the power button, pressing it once, plugging in the charging cord then trying, but still it wont turn on. Have I been shipped a broken phone, or does it need to charge? in the instructions it says it has to charge before use but i still dont understand why there isnt any way of telling if its charging or not. its been ''charging'' for about an hour now. Help?

Battery showing charging when it isnt

Monday 03rd of December 2012 / androidforums.com
I have 4 batteries and they are all doing it, so its got to be my phone in someway. It keeps showing its charging, when its not plugged in at all. It will flash its charging, show the lighting bolt in the battery in the upper right....but there is no way it can be charging.... then when I actually check the battery it says discharging, but shows a lightning bolt in the upper left. My screen saver kicks in says charging...and it will just keep bouncing like this. Any ideas? I do have circle battery widget, they recently updated, but I dont think that has anything to do, with the charge symbol in the upper right. I have a stock nexus, running JB. thanks.

Dock charging

Tuesday 01st of October 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
Reading back through here and XDA threads, it seems there's a weird solution that works for someone or other, but I've been testing my Nexus 7 and the dock and have been getting some weird results Plugging it directly to a certain wall plug, im getting an estimated 1.5A of charging and can see it charges rather quickly in the 20 minutes i left it to get that estimate Plugging it in its intended spot (through a UPS on my desk) im getting about 1A, not great but enough to charge it with daydream on. Plugging it in the same spot through the dock, the app doesnt seem to be able to measure charge, and I notice the battery level drop after a while. The dock itself says I need a 5V 2A charger so it can fast charge, how come the dock cant charge it but the same usb plug directly charges fine :/ This is using the standard usb/charge brick I got with the nexus 7, updated to 4.3 Can I do anything else to determine if the dock itself is/isnt faulty
