Verizon to offer Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 with 4G LTE starting August 17

Wednesday 15th of August 2012 / talkandroid.com
This morning Verizon announced that on Friday, August 17th, they will start selling the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 both online and in Verizon Wireless Communications Stores. This Verizon version of the 7-inch tablet includes 4G LTE network capabilities for on-the-go access. The Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 will be priced at $349 which is $100 more than a wifi only version of the tablet.//It appears Verizon and Samsung have made some slight improvements to the device since we reviewed an earlier version. The processor is now running at 1.2 GHz compared to the original 1.0 GHz and Bluetooth has been bumped up from 3.0 to 4.0. External memory support has also increased from 32 GB to 64 GB via microSD card. The Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 will come loaded with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 is not quite the powerhouse tablet of the Google Nexus 7, but it does have a nice set of features. Whether the ability to connect to Verizon’s 4G LTE is enough to justify the extra cost remains to be seen. Hit the break for the full press release from Verizon.Verizon Wireless Adds Samsung Galaxy Tab 2®

Samsung galaxy tab 2 wiped memory card?

Monday 08th of April 2013 / androidforums.com
Have had this tablet 6 months. Installed a 32g card in it last year. Today, Facebook was running slow, decided to restart to see if it would help. After a normal restart, it now says "blank sd card or unsupported file system" and all my music, pics etc seem to be gone. Have turned it off, removed & replaced the card, tried to remount the card, but still says empty card. Any ideas?

They load on the sd fine but once its in the samsung it shows that the space is used but the folders are just not there at all. I even tried to access through astro file manager and it still did not show the folders that I had put my 25 gigs of comics. The only way I could access them was by usiong the cloud and the comics load perfect. But I dont want to pay 10 a month and depend on my wifi conncetion to access my books when I bought the 32 gb class 10 card for this reason. I have the new samsung galaxy tab 2 7.0 student edition in white model GT-p3113 if this makes a difference. Maybe samsung allows it on the tab plus only????thanks for reply again
