Samsung Galaxy S4 back button and options button not working(no lights)

Friday 06th of September 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
Hi. I recently upgraded with my service provider and got an S4. However after 4 days the back button and options button no longer works, and the lights do not show, i disabled and enabled haptic feedback, turned off power saving mode and rebooted my phone via the power button and via a hard reboot. I did not do a factory reset because if the device fails within 7 days of purchase, which it has it, it must be returned to the store where i purchased it. Any idea as to what to do, before i send the phone back?

S4 randomly restarts

Thursday 10th of October 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
Dear all I have a samsung Galaxy S4 I9505 with stock rom.I have the feeling that because of the lastest updates on the phone the phone is restarting randomly, it can happen when just typing in an sms or even taking a photo.when the phone restarts it hangs on the screen Samsung Galaxy I9595 S4 and loops everytime on that part.however when I put in the power plug to charge the phone it starts up correctly. another thing that I noticed is that when the phone is crashing like this the battery % drops down to 0 while it was showing before the crash that I had about 80% left.this doesn't happen all the times but it's one of the weird things I discovered. I already performed a hard reset to go back to factory settings however that didn't change a bit. can someone help me out here? your help is much appreciated Paul

Hard Reset

Sunday 22nd of December 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
I need to perform a hard reset on my wife's S III that she inherited from me. I know how to do it but I've heard differing views on whether you should remove the SIM card or SD card, or both, prior to resetting. Suggestions welcome. Tx Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S4 (SGH-I337) using Tapatalk Pro

Firmware 4.3 Issues Samsung Galaxy S4

Tuesday 04th of February 2014 / forums.androidcentral.com
Hi everyone, I accepted last nite a firmware update on my Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-i9505. It was about the new Android 4.3 version so i decided to say "OK" and I went to sleep. Today when i was supposed to use my phone i realized there are some weird issues: A earphone symbol is in top on the notification area, when no earphone is plugged to my device. I can't answer incoming calls because my phone believes there is a ghost earphoneI had to hard reset my phone twice with no resultsDue to hard reset i lost most applications and now i can't get them back: Whatsapp for instance (it seems Mobile Data or Wifi connections are not in good shape after firmware upgrade) I live in Ecuador-Latin America, but i bought my cell phone on USA last year and it was working fine before the firmware upgrade i did yesterday. Please let me know if there is a way to get back to the 4.2 (previous) firmware or there is a way to get my phone working properly. Thanks in advance- Larry

Saturday 29th of March 2014 / androidforums.com
Hi,i have a Samsung Galaxy S4 (gt-i9595), with the latest update (4.4.2)Im not able to turn on the wifi, i have had the issue for som time, i used to have the issue on he previous os aswell, and updating didnt help.everything else works, bt, gps etc. Its just the Wifi, if i pull down the screen and hit the wifi button, it turns faded green for a few seconds, before if turns grey. If i touch and keep the wifi button touched i go into the wifi setup, here i try to move the wifi bar to the right, but it snaps right back to the off position.i tried wiping the cache partition in recovery mode, and i tried a hard reset. but no wifiWhat can i do?
