Samsung Galaxy S3 and Galaxy S4 RokDock by Rokform [Review]

Monday 03rd of June 2013 / androidspin.com
Docking stations for our devices serve many purposes in life. Mainly they give you the chance to charge, transfer and prop up your device all in one neat little package. Most are inexpensive and made from plastic. Some offer the ability to connect to your TV for streaming content tot he big screen. Others are made for your vehicles for driving and being able to use your GPS and have easy access to voice controls and driving mode. Unlike the traditional plastic docks, this one is crafted out of just over 3 pounds of aircraft grade aluminum. The final product is a solid 3 pounds of weighted docking goodness. You don’t have to have any fears of your device falling over and in a pinch, you could use it as a weapon and do some serious damage.Whats in the BoxRokDock for Samsung Galaxy S2/S3/S4Charging cableStart ToolInstructionsThe RokDock is composed of 5 components. "hands free" "driving mode" on Nexus 5 with Android 4.4 Kit Kat

Thursday 02nd of January 2014 / forums.androidcentral.com
I went through all the settings and could not find a way to configure the phone to speak the SMS, the caller id, etc....when I am driving. On my other phone, a samsung galaxy s3 from verizon with android 4.3, there is a "driving mode". I thought it was a true android capability, but could it be a samsung feature instead ?In any case how do I get the Nexus 5 with Android 4.4 to do the same ? And as a bonus question, can I get it to do it using an NFC tag... This is driving me crazy so please somebody answer me fast ! (I called Google and the least I can say is that their support people are absolutely clueless).
