WARNING WARNING!!! Sprint is pushing out an updated named LS670ZVC starting on 2/7/2011. This update breaks this root process. Open Menu > Settings > about phone > if SW Version = LS670ZVC then this process will not work for you. WARNING WARNING!!! Ok so theres SDK's, and JDK's, and drivers and ..... ahhhhhhhh!!!!! lol all this stuff to know! Don't worry, you can root, recovery, rom all without touching a computer. Requirements:-Make sure you have a good charge on your phone. I suggest starting with a full charge.-From the home screen of your phone press Menu > Settings > Applications > check mark "unknown sources". This will allow you to install Z4Root without an error.-From the home screen of your phone press Menu > Settings > Applications > Development > check mark "USB debugging". The team behind AlphaRevX, have just released a new Beta 2 build that brings Full Unlock, S-OFF, and Root Recovery to The Droid Incredible 2 and the Desire S. This is an updated version of the one that does the same thing for the Desire (CDMA and GSM), Wildfire, and Aria. This is beta software so be cautious, as always. Originally, the Windows version was pulled due to some bugs, but those have since been quickly fixed, and it's back up now. Hit the XDA-Developers thread below for detailed instructions. That would be "cd cobyadb"At the prompt type "adb devices". you should see one device, yours. From there, follow Vampirefo's instructions. One more thing, MAKE ALL THE BACKUPS. Don't forget or its too late.
