Found a way to completely remove unwanted app

Saturday 01st of December 2012 / forums.androidcentral.com
For situations where you want to completely remove an app that came default with the phone, I found this method without rooting or special software. Tested on Android 4.1 1 (jelly bean) 1. Go to preferences > application manager2. I wanted to remove "nfl mobile", so I went All and found nfl.3. Cleared it's cache, force stop, and disable4. Once done, nfl did not show up in application manager or the Apps button I think the only way to restore it would be to do a factory reset. So be careful and make sure you never plan to use that app. Let me know what you guys think or find. Sent from Samsung galaxy note 2 (Verizon)

Magicjack App on Android

Wednesday 29th of August 2012 / forums.androidcentral.com
Hey guys, I was browsing Google Play and noticed a MagicJack app for Android. It says it was posted August 28th, don't know if that's correct. I downloaded it and it ran fine on my Galaxy SII LTE but of course it says it's a beta version but I was able to make a call quickly both through wifi and through HSDPA+. Just wondering if this was posted or not as my search didn't come up with any posts.

cannot remove an app no uninstall

Tuesday 26th of October 2010 / droidforums.net
This may have been covered so I apologize in advance. I cannot seem to remove titanium backup version 3.5.1. It does not show up in my downloaded apps. When I go to manage apps the uninstall button is greyed out but I can remove anyother app. I tried searching for an answer but I am having no luck. Thanks.

"Talk Free" magicJack app broken after upgrade to 4.3. Downgrade to 4.2 possible?

Thursday 01st of August 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
Greetings. Some people with Android 4.2 like the Talk Free magicJack app. However, when they upgrade to 4.3, the app stops working. Some people like it enough that they would like to downgrade back to 4.2. Is there a quick link that will work for most devices that will help people figure out how to downgrade back to 4.2 without a lot of hassle? Is it possible? Cheers Chris

"Talk Free" magicJack app broken after upgrade to 4.4

Thursday 21st of November 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
Hello, Today the "Talk Free" magicJack app crashed after upgrading to 4.4 KitKat. It worked just fine before on my Nexus 7 when running 4.3 Jelly Bean. I did fill out the details in a crash report on my Nexus 7 and sent it. Hopefully there will be a fix out soon.

Please help - Completely remove an app from my phone

Tuesday 07th of January 2014 / androidforums.com
Hi, An app I've downloaded isn't working properly. The application supporters have advised me to remove the app from my phone completely and then download it again from the play store. However when I uninstall the app I am not given the option to download it from the play store, but only to install it. How can I remove the app completely so I can download it again?
