"The process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."

Thursday 26th of July 2012 / androidtablets.net
Hello. I keep getting this error message pop up: "The process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." and I am unable to do anything on my tablet right now because of it. What does it mean?I've tried turning my tablet on/off, letting it die, using it fully charged, and hitting the reset button (doesn't seem to really "reset" rather than it just turns off then on again). This message pops up steady... I will hit the "Force close" button (the only button I can push when it comes up) and the message will pop up again within seconds.I will also occasionally get an error message similar for my different apps... "The process com.google.process.gapps has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again", "The application Twitter (process com.twitter.andriod) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again". (same with Hotmail, or Facebook, and various other apps).I cannot access anything on my tablet when these messages pop up so it seems there is virtually nothing I can do.

Yes, I removed the contacts app

Saturday 28th of July 2012 / androidforums.com
Yes, I feel stupid. My wife wanted me to remove the AT&T apps on her phone since she was moving it to Net10. I rooted the phone and downloaded a root manager and started going through the apps and she saw Contacts and said "Delete that one." So I did. Now she cannot add or access her contacts list. Everytime she tries she gets the message "The process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." Anyone know how to fix this screw up??

Android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly upon trying to go Home

Thursday 20th of May 2010 / droidforums.net
Hi all, So the problem I'm having with my Canadian Milestone is that since the last two days, I've been getting the following error message constantly: "Sorry! The process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.", and it will only allow me to force close the process. When I select "Force close", the entire screen except the notification bar goes black, and then returns (sans apps and widgets) a few seconds later. The error comes up again after a few seconds, and then this entire process is repeated. It completely shuts me out of doing ANYTHING aside from accessing notifications. I was lucky that I had Advanced Task Manager running in my notification bar, since I was able to switch to Open Home from it, and I have been safely using it with no problems. I saw Romain Guy's post in this thread: http://groups.google.com/group/android-platform/browse_thread/thread/.... It mentioned that the acore process contains Contacts, Home, and a few other things including Providers. While searching online, I saw that the most common probl

I just got a new SuperPad III and got it up and running, added two apps and closed it. The next time I started the pad, I get an error message "Android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly. Android 2.1 CMID 7" Tablet stuck in loop

Tuesday 21st of June 2011 / androidtablets.net
A few days ago, my Android 2.1 CMID started looping two error messages. First: "The process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." Second; "The process com.google.process.gapps has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." It won't let me tap on anything or click any buttons and the reset doesn't change anything. I read a thread on this site about the same problem talking about rooting and flashing, but nothing was explained. Can someone help? I've only had this tablet for 4 months and never had a problem.
