Droid X2 verizon is running extremely slow (please help)

Tuesday 19th of February 2013 / droidforums.net
Hello Droid forums,I have been experiencing problems with my Droid X2 lately and it been running extremely slow. While searching Google i found other owners of the Droid x2 phone that have been having the same problems, so my solution was to flash the droid x2. I am currently running Go sMS pro, Swift key 3 for keyboard and ADW EX for my launcher which is very light. Go sms pro launcher use to be my default until i found out it was slowing down my phone. For a first time root users i have rooted a kindle fire so i not worried about the steps to flash the droid x2 i am more concerned about which ROM i should use that would speed up my phone? Reading other forums by searching google alot of users have been recommending the CM7 ROM, but i heard that their might be some potential problems with the camera or video? Can anyone give me good recommendation of which ROM to use that has all the feature the current rom my phone is running has, but its optimized, so i can speed up my slow droid x2? Also my Droid X2 is running 2.3.5 Ginger bread. Would i have to downgrade to install a ROM i take i

Droid X running EXTREMELY slow...AGAIN!

Tuesday 24th of August 2010 / androidforums.com
Hello, and thanks ahead of time for your help. Basically, my Droid X is running extremely slow. scrolling between home screens is very choppy. Launching the app drawer and scrolling through it is choppy as well. Switching text messages or even opening one is very slow. I have done multiple hard resets and soft resets. each time it works for a little while but gets worse than before. I do use an app killer, but only on non-automatically starting applications (such as RoboDefense or Droid Light). On my app killer i see i ALWAYS have around 100mb of memory. I have tried disabling my SD card. It works for a little while but gets slow again. I only have about 5 or 6 applications installed, my home screens don't have many widgets if any at all. I have tried clearing my cache off apps and force closing. I don't have a live wallpaper, and I have the stock launcher. I'm on Android 2.1. The only thing really on my SD card is about 1Gb or less of music. NOTHING WORKS! Please, any tips? Should i return the phone? Should I try and switch for a DInc, D2 or even a D1? thanks again guys Also, I usua

EVO running slow

Thursday 30th of September 2010 / androidforums.com
I just got my first android phone. My HTC EVO. I love it. But recently its been running extremely slow. It takes about 2 seconds for an icon to even highlight when i tap it. then another 2 second to open the app. Now, I'm new to Android, and I got an app killer, and I leave 4g and wifi off.. my friend suggested I take out the battery to reset the system. And now its working fine, but I'm dreading the next time it gets slow. What is going on with my phone?

Bionic running extremely slow.

Tuesday 06th of December 2011 / droidforums.net
Ive had my bionic for about 2-3 months. It was an aewsome phone out of the box. However as of lately it has been running unusually slow. Applications open slowly, they force close rather often. My browser when opened and used will stay on the same page screen, even if i attempt to hit back or forwards. As opposed to either going to the previous page i was on in the browser. The bionic too on ocassion shuts itself off mid use and reboot. I did notice when i got this phone, it had very slight nick marks on the bezel of the phone, aswell as a dead pixel on the screen. Im at the point where im just going to drive to verizon and get another and hope i get a factory new bionic and not a "possible" used one. Any help would be great. It to maybe has 3 apps installed and no task killers.

Phone running extremely slow

Monday 18th of July 2011 / androidforums.com
Hi! What could be reasons for my LG GT540 to run very slow? I tried to unistall some applications, deleted large video files from memory card, but it still does not help. If I restart my phone, it gets better, but after some time it becomes more and more slow. P.S. I have Android 1.6 and my phone is not even a month old...

Droid X running extremely slow

Sunday 08th of August 2010 / androidforums.com
Sorry if this is a repost but the only threads I found were problems nothing like mine. I got my droid X the day it came out and I absolutely love it and have had no problems at all. However, yesterday it started running extremely slow. By slow I mean, 10-15 seconds to load the text message window, then another 10 to 15 seconds to load the conversation I clicked on. During that time the screen is either black, or half loaded, or a keyboard and then it loads. The text message thing is just an example as it takes just as long to load anything else, whether its changing home screens, opening an app, or the applications menu, or anything. Also, this problem is sporadic, about half the time I use my phone it will be fine, the other half it will be extremely slow, I also noticed that the slowness seems to happen more often when there is the symbol in the notification bar that makes a circle out of 2 arrows. Any ideas? Should I take it back to Verizon, or will they try telling me I need to pay 600$ to get it fixed because I don't have insurance? This icon(sorry if its huge),

- 4.1.2 Extremely slow especially in gallery

Thursday 21st of November 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
I have had my Sprint Galaxy s3 since last December, and haven't had any major problems and everything seemed smooth. Right now, for the past week or so my phone is running really slow at certain times and it just seems really random. It runs extremely slow and freezes in the gallery app when accessing all of my pictures. I have multiple folders and +1000 pictures on the phone. I have noticed it in the gallery and camera apps but to be honest I spend most of my time on the phone app or in the camera/gallery app sending photos via Whatsapp, Dropbox, or messaging for work. It has gotten pretty unbearable. Any suggestions on a fix that would help? Maybe backing up all my photos on the pc and resetting the phone? Running 4.1.2

Running Extremely Slow

Monday 17th of February 2014 / droidforums.net
Hello! I have a Droid Bionic that's a few years old. It's running extremely slow. So far I have tried: deleting many of my pictures and uninstalling apps I don't use often. Any way to reset my phone or making it work faster? When I say slow, I mean it takes like 30 seconds to complete one action. And then, many times, it will tell me the app is not responding.
