Droid Freaking Out!!!!!!!

Monday 19th of September 2011 / droidforums.net
Something weird is happening to my Moto Droid. It's freaking out. I think there is something wrong with the touch input or keyboard or the gold directional pad on the right side of the qwerty keyboard. What happens is, the screen jumps around, moves from one screen to another, selects items on the phone, types random letters.... just does random actions on the phone and pretty much renders the phone useless. Imagine you were sitting at your computer and you took your hand and you repeatedly smashed down on the keyboard like a 2 year old. At the same time you took the mouse and wildly waved it around the screen clicking randomly, highlighting, clicking, opening programs and generally running a muck. That's pretty much what the Droid is doing. I don't know if it is a virus or something is going haywire with one of the input devices... but its pretty messed up. Some more info: it doesn't seem like there is any water damage, the screen and glass are intact and working fine and the normal droid software is working fine (when it is not doing this, I can run apps, type messages and use every

Phone is freaking out!!!

Monday 07th of June 2010 / droidforums.net
Hey all,I will try to explain this the best I can but its like nothing I have ever seen. My phone(Moto Droid) has been working without a problem for 3 months now, but today everything changed. I set it on my desk and walked away, came back and my phone was on google.com and randomly scrolling, clicking and resizing. My home button doesn't work anymore. I managed to get it off the internet, but then it started randomly opening and clicking on my apps. I got frustrated and removed the battery, and let it just sit there for a moment. Put the battery back in and turned on the phone. It wouldn't let me get passed the lock screen, the sliders wouldn't work. I again removed the battery and put it back in and turned on the phone. That time it let me get passed the lock screen but it started randomly clicking again. I hit the power button to put it to sleep and gave it a few minutes. After that it worked well enough to make a phone call, but the home button still didn't work. I took it to a verizon store, and they looked at me like I was lying about it so I handed it to them and said "he

My Droid is taking over.

Friday 05th of March 2010 / droidforums.net
I wasn't sure where to put this honestly. My phone has literally gained a conscience of its own. Normally this problem seemed to come from that charger issue and having the wrong charger...But my phone is freaking out on its own very well without a charger. The screen spazzes out and touches all over the screen as if my hand was having a seizure on the screen. It took me like 30 minutes to even get my phone into the menu to save my contacts. If it helps, I'm rooted and (was) running BB(2.01) v1.2 when it first started happening. I figured going to sleep and ignoring it for the night would fix all my problems, but to my dissatisfaction it did not. I just recently attempted to do a factory reset and tried to go to Pete's 2.1 BB...But that was again a huge failure. So I figured, Why not just stick with a normal factory reset!...No. Of course that doesn't work either. Now here I sit, wondering if the ghost possessing my phone will just go away. Anyone have any fixes for this? I apologize if this is some kind of problem that's happened many times and has been answered, I'm just seriously

Droid touch screen freaking out

Sunday 02nd of May 2010 / droidforums.net
Running a rooted Moto Droid with CM 5.0.6.2 and nexthemeMy phone was acting weird all week and ten today the touch screen was either completely unresponsive or clicking randomly by itself. When the touch screen is unresponsive the "strip" of the screen that stretches from the menu key to the home key does not work at all. When the screen is freaking out the exact opposite happens, only the points within the "strip" are getting randomly pressed.I went into dev tools to see what was going on and when I use the pointer locator it showed that when the screen was unresponsive, clicking the strip would register as two different clicks outside the strip. (if you click the middle, two points would register to the side)and when the screen is freaking out the pointer locator says that there is input on the center of the strip, even when I am not touching it.Does anyone know what's going on? I'd rather not go through the hassle of getting a new one.

Any have issues with music app freaking out and skipping songs?

Monday 17th of October 2011 / androidforums.com
I'm on Android 2.3. At first I thought there was a problem with Last.FM when it began to skip songs. So I uninstalled it. But the skipping continues with the standard Google Music app. Basically I will be listening to music. And then it will skip to a random song. One second later it will skip to another random song. Then it keeps freaking out and constantly changing songs in my music library rapidly with no rhyme or reason. It doesn't happen all the time, but when it does it is extremely annoying and I have to turn my phone off and turn it back on again.

Why's everyone freaking out over the coming alleged update?

Saturday 07th of December 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
I don't understand you people freaking out about this update that is allegedly coming. No one promised you anything when you bought this [B]phone, they don't owe you a thing so the threats of going to another carrier over it are a little ridiculous. We all bought this phone because we liked it and personally I love mine more than ever just the way it is. I've seen nothing in the reports about this alleged update that I can't live without and it's been my experience that updates are never bug proof and most times they do more harm than good. Samsung/Verizon PLEASE KEEP YOUR UPDATES OFF MY PHONE!!....everyone else please calm down and stop acting like spoiled immature children. peace,DaMan
