Pandora Internet Radio Updated to 1.5.9 - Stability issues fixed

Tuesday 14th of June 2011 / androidspin.com
Pandora ranks high among the many music streaming applications available for our devices.  Despite the past happenings, they continue to rapidly gain fans and aren’t expected to stop anytime soon. Upon browsing through my list of apps installed an update came across for this application and as it’s one of my favorites I quickly installed it. The update doesn’t add really add any new features however, it does address a few stability issues which caused crashes and an otherwise unpleasant experience for some users. What’s in this version: Faster start up for some users Fix crash usually experienced when trying to view station list Fix crash when quickly rotating screen Other stability enhancementsTo grab a copy, or simply updating your existing one, check out your list of apps on your phone or you can scan or click the QRCode below. Pandora

Monday 14th of November 2011 / droidforums.net
My wife's Incredible 2 has a ton of problems playing Pandora, where it would play about 45-60 seconds of a song and then skip. This is on 3G as well as WiFi. I've tried installing previous versions of the app, but can't seem to get it working. She won't let me root / ROM her phone, although there's nothing to indicate that it would fix the problem anyway. Pandora on my Thunderbolt and HP Touchpad (CM7) run fine. With that said, after doing some research, it looks like this is not phone specific and others are having the same problem. I'm curious to know how many in the community are affected. Perhaps if we can get enough people to bring some visibility to the extent of the problem, we might be able to get the Pandora developers to fix it.

what happened to Pandora radio?

Saturday 23rd of October 2010 / forums.androidcentral.com
What happened to Pandora radio? Ever since the last update Pandora will only play 20 seconds or so of a song and then pauses then plays a new song. Couple other peoples evo's I know seem to be having the same problem. You would think Pandora would try to fix this before advertisers pull out on them. What good is an app if it doesn't play full songs. Who is going to bother to stick around for any adds? Curious if anyone else on here is having the same problem? I have even deleted and redownloaded thinking that would fix it. No luck.

Problems with Pandora

Tuesday 22nd of November 2011 / droidforums.net
I've recently had to reset my phone twice since the 2.3.3 update and since then, I've noticed a problem with my Pandora app. I'm unsure if it is anyway related to my resets, that is why I am posting on here.I've tried on a couple of my Pandora channels, so I know it isn't just the channel, it's the actual app. The problem is my songs only play for about 30 seconds to a minute before I get "buffering" on my screen and the song changes to the next. It's very annoying because it happens right about the time I really begin to get into the song. Nobody else I know is having this issue with Pandora on their phone. I really want to fix this. I have even uninstalled and reinstalled Pandora thinking that could fix it.I have a Motorola Droid 2 Global.I would appreciate any help or suggestions people have.Thank you

Pandora having spat with Froyo, problems processing audio

Friday 06th of August 2010 / talkandroid.com
//We’ve gotten a ton of notices from our readers out there that Froyo and Pandora aren’t exactly playing nice, and this writer can confirm the issue. I’ve got an HTC Hero running CyanogenMod 6 (Froyo based custom ROM), and the Pandora quality has been awful. Others on different handsets and carriers, with official and unofficial updates, are reporting the same. Pandora has even been notified of the issue. Their response:Froyo has a problem processing our AAC+ files. We have confirmed that this is an issue in the OS, and they should have it fixed in the next Android release. Thanks for your patience in the meantime.Best Regards,Pandora Listener SupportIn other words, Pandora is throwing Google under the bus on the issue and leaving it up to the Android developers to fix the issue in the next iteration of Android. In my opinion, I can see this easily turning into a public argument between the two companies. What do you think? Let us know in the comments![via droid-life]» See more articles by Dustin Karnes//

Pandora fix

Monday 11th of July 2011 / androidforums.com
I've been having issues with Pandora (like I know many others have) since getting the phone. It was skipping songs randomly and just generally being glitchy, but I found a fix (well, I didn't, but someone did)! I've been listening, nonstop, to Pandora for the last 2.5-3hrs and haven't had a single random skip or audio glitch (or add, heh heh). Check it out:For those with pandora skipping issues - Droid Forum - Verizon Droid & the Motorola Droid ForumSorry to link you to a link, but I'm lazy. Plus, I got you this far, didn't I?!

[SOLUTION] How-to for Pandora on the Evo - for rooted and non-rooted users

Wednesday 16th of February 2011 / androidforums.com
FOR THE NEWEST UPDATE 4.22.651.2 it may no longer be needed to do this fix. I tested Pandora briefly and experienced no issues. If you do in fact attempt this fix please not that you must click on the last option rttp and http proxies, and then edit them in that screen. Do post results if you choose to do so. If you had done so prior to this update, those changes should have stuck. I have full faith that Pandora is doing all that they can to adjust to what google has been doing. It has been hard to track down exactly what is happening with all of the phones root and unrooted but here is what I think has been going on. For the record...the fixes below will most likely also fix a number of other issues you may be having in regards to streaming music, internet related errors, internet speeds and even weather not updating properly. These fixes are intended for the HTC Evo and may not work on other models. All users should remember to update PRL and Profile afterwards, in that order. Most of your prior changes to the ##3282# menu will have to be redone like removing proxy settings etc..

Problems with Pandora on the Galaxy S3

Tuesday 12th of November 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
So I have had pandora downloaded on my s3 for a while but there has been an issue I have been unable to fix. Whenever I play a station, it plays the first song and then once my phone locks after 5 or so minutes pandora does not go to the next song until I unlock my phone again. As far as I could tell there were no settings available on pandora to change this. Does anyone know how to fix this? I just want to listen to my station with no interruptions.
