Incoming calls going straight to VMail?

Sunday 09th of September 2012 / forums.androidcentral.com
Hey all. I've had my rezound for a few months and it has been a great device. However the last week or so my phone has not been ringing on incoming calls. The only way I know I missed it is if the caller leaves a voicemail then I get a voicemail notification. I cannot miss phone calls having a disabled child so this is unacceptable for me. Any ideas on a solution? Sent from my ADR6425LVW using Android Central Forums

Incoming calls going directly to Voicemail

Wednesday 14th of December 2011 / forums.androidcentral.com
I'm in an LTE area (NYC). When I'm at home, incoming calls to my Samsung Skyrocket go straight to voicemail without the handset ringing even though I have 2-3 bars reception. I can make outgoing calls, surf, send/receive texts. Elsewhere in the city, I don't seem to have this issue, though every now and then the calls will randomly go straight to voicemail. AT&T have been trying to sort out the issue - replaced my SIM, rebuilt my file (whatever that means), run some network tests but haven't been able to solve the issue and are about to tell me to go the HTC if I want LTE. I called Samsung today and they asked me to reset the phone and that has not helped either. We have AT&T 3G iphones & blackberries at home and they have had zero issues, it's not that the home is in a bad reception area. so this is either a phone/handset issue or a LTE network issue (I hear that only data travels on the LTE network, voice goes on 3G, so perhaps there's an issue with that setup?) Wondering if anyone is having similar issues and/or have thoughts on how to fix this. I really like this phon

Incoming calls not coming through - Samsung Galaxy S Captivate

Wednesday 10th of November 2010 / androidforums.com
I recently just switched from a Blackberry to the Samsung Galaxy S Captivate - so far I am loving the android interface. Definitely a step-up from the dated blackberry OS. I have looked up this issue on a number of forums, but I cannot seem to get a definite answer. Mind you, this issue does not happen all the time, but it does happen on a reoccuring basis and it just blows my mind that I can't seem to find a reliable median when it comes to service with Rogers. When I get incoming calls, the phone doesn't ring. I will get a notification appearing on the phone indicating that I have "one missed call" but I didn't even hear the phone ring, and the phone is right in front of me! On one occasion, I had a friend call me and she said that the phone kept ringing (she was calling from the Fido 3g network), by the time I went to go grab the phone (again, it was right in front of me) , it rang for about 30 seconds and went straight to "one missed call" - Can somebody possible explain to me what's gonig on? It is my understanding that this problem occurs because of some fau

ringing on headphone and not speaker.

Thursday 25th of November 2010 / android.net
Hi, N1 CM6.1 RC1, user,i installed CM6.1 RC1, i have noticed that the small 3 buttons for phone, app list, browser disappear and wont come back unless i reboot. this is bug, Thus my main problem is when using headphone. the phone will not ring or sound any alert on speaker and only in headphone. This is annoying that i can't hear any incoming calls or emails or sms unless i disconnected headphone. Is this related to CM rom?. Or it's normal on N1 which i hope not.

Dinc not ringing or showing missed calls? Possible solution

Friday 17th of December 2010 / forums.androidcentral.com
I've been having a sporadic, weird problem with my Droid Incredible. I *think* I may have found a solution, albeit an annoying one. But I figured I'd post it here in case it's either helpful, or if someone can suggest a better solution. THE PROBLEM: My Droid Incredible will sometimes stop ringing when I get an incoming call. The ringer is on and loud, that's not the problem. And calls are coming in, because if I happen to be looking at the screen when a call comes I can see it visually. But: no audible ring. Furthermore, my Dinc stopped displaying a visual "missed call" alert on the home screen. The only way I'd know I'd missed a call would be to go into the phone app and check the call history. This is a big problem for me, since I live in a gated apt. complex and the only way I know someone is at the gate for me is when they call me. (Gate box rings through to my phone, no intercom in my apt.) I've missed package deliveries and friends stopping by because of this. Coincidentally, at the same time this problem started cropping up (it comes and goes), I noticed that verizo

Incoming calls not ringing

Tuesday 11th of June 2013 / androidforums.com
So, I'm new here so forgive me if I missed something else that answers this. My nexus s 4g just recently was resurrected to be used with Ting. So far so good. Today in an attempt to be cheaper(yes I know I should've left well enough alone), I installed sipdroid, got it to set up the google voice Pbxes account. It worked fine for making calls and receiving them to my google voice account. Now if someone calls my ting number it rings on their end and goes to voice mail. Never rings on my end. I've changed my google account password, deleted both pbxes accounts I had and removed sipdroid from my phone. Still not ringing on my end. Done profile and prl updates in the vain hope that'd fix it. I'm at a loss and clearly in over my head and have learned a valuable lesson. If it can be fixed I'd be very grateful for any help. Thanks in advance.

calls go straight to voicemail, phone making random noises...frustration

Wednesday 21st of August 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
My phone's not ringing with incoming calls, but sending everything straight to voicemail, and not even sending a voicemail alert. I've missed a key hospital appointment due to this as only saw the voicemail symbol too late. This has been going on for 3 days now and my network (Tesco in the UK) say no problems from their side. The phone also makes random and constant noises (hard to describe but loud) when it is placed in any kind of case - I have a soft protective zip up case that I put it in when going out with a backpack.About 3x daily it bings through about 5 'failure to connect to gmail' alerts when there is no gmail activity in my gmail account. It also has a -101dbm signal or worse all the time for calls and 3G is patchy. the most annoying is the call failure. Any suggestions please? It's running android 4.3 as google did an auto update recently. thanks

power on but black screen

Tuesday 08th of October 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
I have a Motorola Droid Pro. I dropped my phone but not hard a couple of weeks ago. The screen started to go blank. It would just happen randomly at first and I could pop the battery out and restart the phone with no problem. But today, it has just stayed blank. I have popped the battery out countless times and restarted it but the screen still stays blank. The green light flashes indicating new alerts in the message bar. I can hear the phone ringing with incoming calls, I can tell the key pad is working because it will vibrate/chime when I touch it but I can not see anything on the screen. I suspect it has something to do with the proximity sensor but have no idea how to fix it since I can not turn the phone on to a visible screen to restore settings. Any idea how to tackle this? I had to switch my cell service back over to my old backup obsolete dumb phone until this is fixed.
