'Not enough memory. Delete some items.'

Monday 26th of March 2012 / androidforums.com
I have a Samsung Galaxy S. Whenever I try to access my photos on the android gallery it does not open and comes up with the message 'Not enough memory. Delete some items.' I do have enough memory and I can still access my photos through going into the camera app and going back through them all. The gallery used to open occasionally after I tapped on the app a few times but this has stopped. It's been going on for ages so I have turned it off and on lots of times/ taken out the battery etc. It may have possibly started when I bought an sd card. What do you think the problem is and what can I do about it? If I was to restore it to factory settings would this delete all my apps and photos etc? Thank you.

"Not Enough Memory. Delete Some Items."

Tuesday 31st of July 2012 / forums.androidcentral.com
Hi all! So far, I've had this phone since April and love it but I just hit my first major issue. I'm trying to access my gallery for some vacation photos I took (on the internal memory) and no matter what I do, it tells me "Not enough memory. Delete some items". So I went through and deleted pretty much every app, internet image and wallpaper I've downloaded in the last 3 months but it's still shooting that message at me. I formatted the SD card from my old phone, put that in and tried to move apps onto it but it says "SD card full". Frustrating! Is there a way to access my gallery again?? THANK YOU! USB Storage (where my pics are)----------------------------Total Space - 1.62 GBAvail Space - 1.91 MB Device Memory---------------------------- Avail Space - 757 MB SD Card---------------------------- Total Space - 240 MBAvail Space - 240 MB(yet it tells me it's full) Regards,Kelly

Galaxy S2 memory problem

Friday 08th of February 2013 / androidforums.com
I've had a Galaxy S2 for about a month now and can't really figure out how to use the Music Player or Gallery. When I try to open either of them I get a message saying "Not enough memory. Delete some items" and then it immediately closes.I've put some music and pictures on the phone but according to the figures in settings I've got 1,97GB of internal storage free, 160KB of USB storage (whatever that is) and 30GB of SD card storage space available. So has anyone got any idea why I can't open the Music Player or Gallery?I've tried restoring it to factory settings which made no difference. I also expected the reset to delete all the music I'd put on the phone but if I go to My Files it's all still on there, so I'm a bit baffled at the moment.Any advice would be much appreciated.Edit: I've just noticed that I've put this in the wrong forum. Would a mod be kind enough to move it for me. Thanks

I tried to use my camera and had the following message: "Not enough memory. Delete some items". When I access my photo gallery it does not open and comes up with the same message. I have tried the following no success:-- Deleted some applications- cleared the data on the gallery app.- cleared the Internet Explorer cache/cookies/history- deleted all text messages and call log- switched phone off and back on after doing above
