mic doesnt work in speakerphone mode

Friday 08th of March 2013 / droidforums.net
I have seen this problem several times but no solution aside from replacing the phone. Unfortunately for me that is not really an option. It is not under warranty and I do not have the money to buy another phone. Anyway, when I turn on speakerphone it seems that no one can hear me. The mic is not working. I know this is not a mic issue as it works fine during normal calls and using any sound recorders or other voice input apps. I have tried a factory reset and it did not work. I tried to download some speakerphone apps and they did nothing. This really sucks because I was trying to video chat and it forces the phone into speakerphone mode, obviously the other person cannot hear me. I tried to plug in a set of headphones that had a mic on the video chat but it would not work. Still stayed in speakerphone mode. If I had to go without speakerphone calls I could live with it but I would like to be able to use the video chat. I was using the standard "talk" video chat that is already on the phone. Anyone know of any other video chat apps that will allow me to use a plug in mic i

Droid x mic no voice

Thursday 22nd of July 2010 / droidforums.net
Hey I just got my Droid X the other day and everything was/is working fine. Apps running smoothly, etc. however today I tried to make a call and realized that the person on the other line cannot hear me at all. Only through speakerphone am I able to talk to that person. I know that I can most likely go to Verizon and get another one with my warranty but they are backordered for a while I'm assuming. I rebooted a few times, took out the battery, and then even reset to factory settings. Nothing worked. Is it a defect in the phone or software. Basically I want to know whats going on and if any one is having similar problems.

Droid X Microphone Dead

Friday 05th of November 2010 / droidforums.net
My Droid X's microphone died today or late last evening. I am rooted, running fission rom, theme'd and was overclocked. My phone handled all of the above great with no problems when dialed in. I'm just not sure what caused my mic to fail. To explain my situation I can hear person on the other side of the line talk but they can't hear me. BUT once i turn it on speaker phone they can here me again, i think its because of the Droid X's 3 mic's. (yes its gets very annoying talking on speaker phone for a day) I tried a factory reset, different roms, and the *228 options 1 & 2 with no luck. I also tried a battery pull, that didn't solve my problem either. I took it into my local Verizon store, and now im getting a refurbished one set to my door step.If anyone has a fix or suggestion let me know, I don't really want to get ride of this phone. I had it since new, overclocked easy, and i never had any major problems with it.

No one can hear me talk...

Tuesday 05th of October 2010 / android.net
I was on my phone earlier today, having normal conversation. After I was done talking to this particular friend, I called another. I heard them answer and began to talk, but they could not hear me, they just kept saying "hello, hello, you there?" I didn't drop it, it didn't get wet, I literally ended one call and made another and the microphone stopped working. I've only had this phone since July and have not dropped it or had anything happen to it once. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

very annoying problems need help/advice

Sunday 15th of April 2012 / droidforums.net
Problem 1: Woke up one morning and it said SD card blank put in new one old one doesn't see any. Won't format mount anything.Problem 2: phone dies, plug in and white light appears on front and won't charge if I do plug in before dies 6 hours later (50% of time) still at 5% charged.Problem 3: randomly drops service, not just the internet but I will go up to an hour with no service what so ever and I live in the state captsil city. Why does it drop all service and bounce from 3g to 4g to no g? Problem 4: if its not on speaker I can't hear someone talk its static like. Problem 5: battery life lasts three hours in stand by. Nothing open manually by me but advance task killer shows a dozen or more apps open. I tried to bring it in but they don't see problems 2 and 3 and problem one they said it is due to be inserting a non capatible SD card in it and said problem 4 is due to the volume so high up. Problem 5 they say is due to me not closing apps. I do the task killer when i set it down. Anyone have real answers? Or suggestion on what to do? Thanks

Droid Mic Problem - Works in speaker phone, not regular, not voice search, etc.

Wednesday 07th of July 2010 / androidforums.com
So heres a random problem that started happening recently... I used to be able to reboot my phone and it would work fine again, now I'm SOL. So my mic doesn't work when I make/recieve calls... unless I turn on speakerphone. No one can hear me unless its in speaker mode. If I do a voice search, voice record, etc, nothing happens. The only way I can talk on my phone is if I'm on speaker phone. I've rebooted, tried inserting headphones into the headset jack and removing, etc. I guess my final step is to factory reset and see if that fixes it. Are there any known solutions? I did NOT change any configuration. Oh, and I should throw out there, that once in a blue moon it DOES work on regular phone. This is totally random.

Another Moto X, LG G2, Samsung S4, or Nexus 5?

Tuesday 24th of December 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
As some of you in this forum may have read, I've had tons of problems with Moto X. It's sad - I'd waited some time to upgrade my phone to the 32GB version. But I've already tried two custom-built Moto X's and they're either both lemons, or they're just not a good fit for my area. (though that doesn't explain why apps crash, or no one can hear my voice when I talk...) So Motorola offered for me to return both lemons and try a 3rd one. I agreed, and I'm waiting for them to confirm receipt of my 2 Moto X's and send me a replacement code for online customization (again. It was fun the first time, but now...) While I'm sitting around waiting on Motorola, I've been looking at other ones. I'd only ever considered the Moto X because I'd had good luck with reception with my Photon and had read that Motorola makes some of the best antennas around. But, that's not proven to be true, so why not look around? In spending the past 2 hours looking at specs and reading reviews, I'm considering: 1. LG G2 - Gets great reviews, apparently has an amazing camera, and LG is the original manufacturer of Goo
