AT&T Announces Jelly Bean Update for the Original Galaxy Note – Droid Life

Friday 03rd of May 2013 / droid-life.com
Jelly Bean (Android 4.1.2) is finally ready for the AT&T version of the Samsung Galaxy Note. Yes, the original. AT&T announced the update this morning as going live today, May 3, so be on the lookout should you still own this device. With Android 4.1, you get all sorts of new features over Ice Cream Sandwich. Google Now is probably the most important, but you’ll see better and smarter notifications, along with a “premium package of new features including Popup Note, which allows users to instantly and conveniently write down directions, phone numbers, and other information while on a call. Popup Video and Browser allow users to watch video or browse the web while performing other tasks.”Instructions for downloading and installing the update over Kies can be found at the links below.Via:  ATT | Samsung

considering unlocked hspa+ galaxy nexus...

Wednesday 27th of June 2012 / forums.androidcentral.com
alrightt well recently i have been pretty set on getting the galaxy s3 and have been constantly checking with att to see if it was in store so i can go mess around with one but after watching the live google i/o event today and seeing how jelly bean is packed full of new features especially the new notifications menu and on top of that they dropped the price of the nexus in the google play store from 400 to 350 which is a crazy good deal and knowing that the nexus would be the first to get these updates has kind of swayed me away from the S3 hype, as i do hate touchwiz and samsung sucks with their updates still... but my question is, if i buy the unlocked hspa+ version of the nexus for at&t will i be among the very first to get the jelly bean update with the international version because i have read in the verizon nexus forums that those people will have to wait a little longer for the update since it has to go through verizon and other stuff... so basically is the unlocked att version the same as the international version that gets the updates first? sorry for the noobish questi

att one x jelly bean - Android Police - Android News, Apps, Games, Phones, Tablets

Thursday 07th of March 2013 / androidpolice.com
Update 2: The blog post is back, and the update should be rolling out today!Update: It sounds like the blog post announcing the update was published erroneously, and has since been pulled down. While that's definitely a bit of a disappointment, it does mean that the update should be headed out very soon. Just not today. Bummer.AT&T just announced that its version of the HTC One X will be receiving an update to Android 4.1 starting today. Here's the brief changelog that AT&T has published, which basically just explains Google Now and the new rich notifications of Android 4.1, along with a tweak to the front-facing camera.

Update today - Page 4

Wednesday 21st of December 2011 / forums.androidcentral.com
Just got the update as well. New trick: browser window when pinched to zoom out will show the thumbnail view. I was hoping they would introduce the ATT visual voicemail app from the Skyrocket but no go.

still worth getting the One?

Thursday 03rd of October 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
So,September has cone and gone and still no 4.3 update on att. Very dissapointing. But there saying mid october now, so I guess that's good? Anyway, straight up guys,I have a upgrade available to be and I'm going to a att store today to pick up a new phone, and I'm between the S4 or HTC One. Since the One (and so is the s4 for that matter) are about a half year old now,and with your experience using the phone, and HTC being flaky on OTA updates, would you still suggest this phone to someone over something like a S4?

Phone data and Wifi on at same time?

Tuesday 17th of December 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
Hi all, Got a brand-new HTC One last night and activated it. Got the first update to 4.1.2 OK. Did the online setup but that got nowhere so I ended up setting up the phone on the phone. Called ATT today about new phone's refusal to update to 4.3. I have to wait 13 days before I'm even allowed to check again. They tried to "push" but phone refused. I turned off Mobile Data but the 4GLTE icon stays on, right alongside the WiFi icon. Did a soft reset but no change. I created an online account to check, and have 0 data usage, but then again there is a "change" to the plan that means I don't get billed for data the first day (apparently). So I'm not sure if it's really using WiFi or LTE. I know I used at least a little 4G data while I was playing with WiFi. Tech Support said take it back to a store and get another. I can do that, but in the mean time I did a Hard Reset. The 'easy' web-based setup suddenly worked OK (I liked what I did manually better, though), but same thing- 4GLTE symbol and WiFi icons both on at the same time. I was allowed to check for an update (ge
