Add/Change APN settings in AT&T galaxys4

Friday 03rd of May 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
I am trying to set up my AT&T S4 for NET10 service provider. Everything was going fine until I needed to add/edit the APN settings so that I can use data and MMS. How do I make it so that the APN settings can be added/changed. Obviously AT&T has this blocked out. Thanks for any help. I am willing to learn and make changes, but I just need to know the steps and a way out if necessary so that the phone doesn't become a paperweight. more info....I have a Samsung Galaxy s4 SGH-1337. It is locked to At&T network but I am using it with the NET10 service provider which utilizes the AT&T network. I need to be able to change the APN settings for NET10, but when I go to the area to edit/add this information I cannot change any of the AT&T APN settings because they are greyed out and unchangeable. Will UNLOCKING my phone allow me to be able to change the APN settings?? I can currently make calls and texts on the AT&T network using the NET10 service. But, because I cannot change the APN settings, I cannot access Data or MMS. I'm trying to figure out if unlocking is the r

MMS borked

Thursday 24th of April 2014 / androidforums.com
This is not my first issue with MMS on this phone. I'm rooted and running Victorious. I don't like the stock messaging app so I use 8sms.In the past, I couldn't get MMS to work unless I told 8sms to use Sprint's APN instead of VM's. That's another reason I didn't use the stock messaging app. A couple weeks ago something changed and now with Sprint's APN all I can do is send MMS, not receive. I still can't do either with VM APN.If I restore the stock rom, I can send and receive just fine using VM APN. The only difference I've noticed in how they're set up is if I do a ##DATA# on Victorious under Others the MMSC URL, proxy, and port are not set. It won't allow me to set it after putting in my MSL either. It just stays blank. On stock, those are set to VM APN.I think I need someone smarter than me. I'd prefer to not have to install a fresh ROM again. Please help! :'(

Galaxy S5 user need help from s4 users, specifically Verizon Variant.

Monday 05th of May 2014 / forums.androidcentral.com
Since the S5 just came out, not a lot of information out on the internet so i figured ill ask s4 users. So i just received a verizon S5, i am on ATT. The reason why i have a verizon device is because it was given to me for free, i didn't have a choice. After attempts to sell or trade for an ATT variant failed, i figured lets just try to get it to work on ATT and it now works with my att sim. This is ATT sim, not straight talk. So after searching for ATT APNs, i was able to get voice, messaging and hspa+ data to work. i Understand no LTE, but i am ok with just hspa+, probably better battery life? Some issues remain: 1 cant send or receive MMS2 no tethering3 not sure how to access my voice mail. I've never really used an android device, i used an s3 for like a month or so. I have minimum experience with galaxy as i am an iphone/wnidows phone user. In any case, i tried looking for MMS apns to set up and none have worked, i can't seem to get pictures sent through text nor can receive one to another user. I've double checked the APN settings to match up and still doesnt work. So i am
