E3D reset itself last night and now I can't log into Facebook

Saturday 18th of February 2012 / forums.androidcentral.com
Hi folks, Last night my phone switched itself off when it had about 10% battery remaining and was taking a long time to turn out itself so I removed the battery, connected it to the charger and when it had came back on again my phone had been re-set to factory settings. I sycn'd all the accounts (Twitter, Facebook, email etc) and then started to re-download my apps. Unfortunately I can't log into my Facebook account via the app any more although I can use the chat application (Typical because I never really use it!). The error I am getting is: an error occurred while fetching data [104/Incorrect signature] when it goes to refresh the news feed. The Facebook icon is the latest version but the screen that attempts to load is an old version with the blue bar at the top and a grey bar the same width below it with the camera to the left, space for comments in the middle and the share button to the right. When I click About the version number is 1.8.3 even though when I am in the Android Market it has been updated to the latest version. I've tried to un-install it and re-install but it doe

My phone reset itself.

Thursday 29th of July 2010 / androidforums.com
I saw one other person who has had this issue. My phone died, and when I went to turn it back on it had factory reset itself, and it deleted all of my contacts and text messages. I don't have it synced because the software will not download, and none of my contacts were through google or anything else. PLEASE someone help me, I'm about to throw it out the window-seeing as how the satisfaction of seeing the damned thing explode would seriously be worth the whole paycheck I dumped on it.

Phone resetting itself, Crazy Battery Drain

Sunday 13th of June 2010 / droidforums.net
So I have had my Droid Eris for around a month now and it has been great. But since I got my update I have notices a few problems, my phone has reset itself while I am using it two or three times. I will be texting or browsing and it will reset. But my biggest problem started earlier today. When I woke up, around 8 am, I noticed my phone's power level very low, and I left it charging all day until around 5 pm when I left my house for a little bit. My phone's power level was at 70%, about half an hour later my phone was giving me low power warning saying it had less than 15% left. After less than 30 minutes my battery was gone, without any use.I immediately shut off my phone and when I got back I threw it on the charger. After about 2 hours it has only charged about 15%. But I keep checking it every few minutes and the power level has stopped charging at 32%. If I ever move my phone it will stop charging. I have picked up my phone with the charger still attached and it stops charging.Any ideas?

My phone removes its screen lock setting by itself

Tuesday 13th of August 2013 / androidforums.com
My phone is kind of weird that it will reset its security setting at random time.It happened a couple times that I set the face screen lock, and at the beginning it works pretty fine. For a couple days ago or some day, my phone removed its face screen lock setting from my phone by itself. When I go to check the security setting the screen lock turned back to "none" from "face lock".I was considering I have switch sim card with other phone and sometime will put my phone into developer mode for testing my app.Would those cause my phone to reset its security settings? It bothered me six months X(!!!!Thank you very much!!!

Help! My phone restarted itself to factory but it didn't really :/ Samsung T989

Tuesday 24th of September 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
My device is a Samsung Galaxy S2X (T-989) on Telus Mobility network in Canada. So I am on instagram and all of a sudden my phone shuts off and sticks on the Samsung start up screen. I hold power, home and volume up to restart. It comes to the welcome screen as I if I had just opened it from the box asking me to sign in to gmail and so forth. Nothing is on my phone no apps, contacts, pictures nothing! When it started to install apps again it came up saying insufficient storage :/ So I plugged it into kies on my desktop computer and looked in the file explorer and low and behold everything is there!!! But it still won't show up on my phone. Is there a way to get my stuff to show back up on my phone, or do I have to do a real factory reset? I can save photos from my computer to my desktop, but I am not sure where to locate contacts, which is what I really care about. I have a backup from about 4 months ago that should have contacts there. I dunno what to do?? Any Help please. Thank you!

Phone reset itself - contacts and texts disappeared!

Thursday 03rd of October 2013 / androidforums.com
I was listening to Spotify on Tuesday when my phone randomly restarted itself. I didn't think anything of it until yesterday when I realised all my contacts and all my texts had gone. Everything else is there - all my pictures and apps. But it's like my apps are all newly downloaded as I have to agree t&cs, and set them up again.Any ideas why my phone decided to do this? I've written off the contacts and texts and just restored from my last backup (six months ago unfortunately) but I'd quite like to know why it did it and prevent it happening again!Thank you.

My phone has deleted (almost) everything- please help

Sunday 26th of January 2014 / forums.androidcentral.com
Hello all, thanks in advance for reading.I am an s2 user from the UK and have had my phone for about 18 months. I am used to my phone restarting itself every couple of days or freezing on me but I love it so much I don't mind! However when it restarted today it came back on having deleted almost everything. I still have apps and (most importantly) photos but all my texts and contacts have dissapeared. This in itself is an annoyance but I also seem to have lost lock screen and home button functionality and the lock/power button only gives the option of power off or restart. I have tried taking out SD card and battery for 30 minutes but no difference. I am fairly techno minded but after googling the problem I have to admit I have no idea what rooting or flashing is and so most of the solutions have baffled me. I'm terrified if I reset it I will lose the precious pictures and things I do have left on it (obviously I will put them onto my laptop if reboot is the only option) Anybody else experienced this?Any advice will be much appreciated, thanks.

Phone reset itself completely

Tuesday 22nd of April 2014 / forums.androidcentral.com
So I go to use my phone a short while ago, when it rebooted as I was using it, and then stuck on a weird boot screen - a circle with a picture of the phone and a down arrow in the middle. It hung on this screen for a good 3 minutes or so, then rebooted a couple times, went to the red Verizon screen, and then launched the initial setup wizard. My phone literally reset itself to factory defaults. I lost all my settings which I've customized over the last couple weeks. What a POS. I'm so pissed off right now.

Hi there,Could anyone please tell me if it's possible that my phone factory reset itself? Is there a way for me to find out whether someone did it or the phone has just reset by itself? btw I have a screen password set up so for anyone to do that, he would have to unlock the phone first, right?Thank you so much for any suggestions.
