New Tablet Frozen? Help Please

Wednesday 29th of December 2010 / androidtablets.net
Hi guys,I just picked up one of these from this site. 7" Touch Screen TFT LCD Google Android OS Tablet PC,AMR 600Mhz CPU, 128M DDR2,4GB NAND Flash,WiFi/ Camera, Mini HDMI Port - Meritline.comIt was working great now all of a sudden it seems to be 'frozen'. The I can't seem to shut it down when I press the power switch the MID options come up Silent Mode and Power Off the Silent Mode is highlighted but whatever I try to do I can't choose Power off. Now my question is, is there a way to force shutdown on this so it can reset itself. When I press the menu button the arrow is highlighted but I can't drag it. Basically I need some help on this highlighting and not being able to choose anything. Thanks!

SGIII Touchwiz Issue; Please Help

Wednesday 15th of August 2012 / forums.androidcentral.com
Good Day All:First post, but been on the site for almost a year as I made the switch from jailbroken iphone 4 to Android (Razr Maxx, Samsung GS3 on VZW). Extremely helpful and the assistance is most appreciated. Getting to my issue, I have a 32gb Sammy, NOT rooted and running at what should be optimal efficiency. I have a fair number of apps on it, but very few that are running in the background of intensive memory hogs. Although I have Widget Locker loaded, it is not enabled and I have NO launchers installed right now and am using Touch Wiz stock. In the last week or so, my Touch Wiz home screen will refresh on wake up or coming back home out of an application to a home screen that does not fully display the dock icons, weather widget or others. The screen is frozen and even the home button won't do anything. After some time it will tell me Touch Wiz is not responding or working properly and I can wait or hit okay. After waiting a few, it does resolve itself. I have rebooted, even removed the last app installed, My Backup Pro, but it still happens. What is going on, why and how can

Nexus 7 - 2013 - Screen Unresponsive - Issue

Thursday 19th of September 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
Hi all - apologies if there are other posts about this. I just bought a Nexus 7 and noticed 2-3 times the screen becoming unresponsive. Example - I would be scrolling through a sports article and the scrolling would stop, no matter what I did it would not scroll and it was like the screen was frozen. If I exit the browser, clear it from open applications and go back in it would be fine. Then randomly it would freeze again - like I said it has happened 2-3 times in total tonight. Would this be a software issue? If it was a hardware issue would it consistently be happening? Just want to reach out to you all, I don't want to return it and risk getting one with more severe issues if it is just a software issue that an update will fix. My luck, I would return it and get one that is even worse. Thoughts? I am not experiencing the multi-touch issues nor am I experiencing any typing issues either. I did receive "Android Keyboard Stopped Working" a couple of times in a row but cleared the keyboard cache and it seems to be fine since. No further issues since doing that. PS - I recei

Android phone freezing issues?

Sunday 10th of November 2013 / androidforums.com
I have an Android phone which is ALCATEL onetouch Soleil. 4.1.1 Jellybean. It freezes suddenly while Im using it. then it turns unresponsive, the touch screen doesn't work anymore. But the physical keys still work like the power key and volume keys.I tried turning off my phone but i can't press Power Off option on the screen because the touch screen can't work. So I had to remove my battery by force. Then I put the battery back in, and turned my phone back on. But it's still frozen, still the same problem. I did this like 15 times and my phone is still not fixed. So, I removed the battery again and waited for 2 hours then when I put it back and turned on my phone, It got FIXED.This happened to me 2 times already. This is not the ordinary freezing problem other people experience. When I restart my phone, it still cant work. Unlike others where they restart their phone then it eventually works.I did not root my phone, I have no extra launchers, I did not upgrade my phone.

Issues after rooting with Towelroot

Monday 21st of July 2014 / forums.androidcentral.com
Hello,Yesterday I rooted my S4 using Towelroot, with no apparent issues. I also installed and ran SuperSU, which asked me to update the binaries, and completed this task without problems. I then rebooted the phone.Immediately after this (the rooting worked, by the way), I started getting weird issues: 1) When waking the phone from sleep, with either the home button or the power button, I get the lock screen; I unlock the phone; but then, 75% of the times, the touch screen is frozen. It doesn't register any touch or swipe at all. If I then put it back to sleep with the power key, and immediately wake it up again, then it works fine.2) The phone frequently reboots; when idle, when an alarm sounds, when there's an incoming call... but not always. Say about once every 1-2 hours.3) There is an excessive battery drain. I used to get to the end of the day with 40% still left on the battery. Now it gets totally depleted in 6-7 hours. Checking the Battery page, I see that the most power was used by a "com.sec.android.app.sbrowser:sandboxed_process0" process. Does anyone have any ide
