X10 not being detected by computer?

Tuesday 25th of January 2011 / androidforums.com
My brother and I both ordered Sony Ericsson Xperia X10a's in 2010. They were the Canadian versions registered to Rogers network. I was excited to own SE's first android phone. It worked fine and everything until one day about two months ago. I used to tether my 3G onto my laptop to get an internet connection. One day randomly the computer just stopped recognizing the X10. I would always get the error "USB not recognized". I figured that it was a faulty USB cable. However, my brother's phone was recognized by my cable. Then i thought maybe it was my computer. But when i connected my X10 to my brother's computer, i got the same error. So i knew it was a phone error. The phone would still charge with the AC outlet but not through the USB even though the LED light that says it's charging would stay on. I tried researching on forums on what could be the possible cause. I tried both the suggested soft reset and hard reset. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling SE Companion as well. I still received the same error. Luckily, i did have a SquareTrade warranty and I sent it to them.

Droid X not powering on

Sunday 05th of August 2012 / droidforums.net
Hello all, I recently bought a Droid X on ebay to play around with, after i had left the Android community and went too iOS. I got it in the mail, and i immediately went to downgrade it, and root it, and that whole process. However, during the SBF flash, my phone died. I was getting the message "low battery cannot program" and after some digging, i found out the only way to charge the battery while in bootloader was to splice into a usb cable, and attach the internal red and black wires too the positive and negative connections on the battery. This supposedly was going to enable my phone to bypass the battery issue long enough for me to flash it, and then bring it back too life. However, after doing this "ghetto charge" method for about 45 minutes, i found my phone to be warm, and i thought my battery had charged. I went to plug it into my computer and all i got was a solid green LED notification light. It was not recognized by windows 7, the screen would not turn on, nothing. Just the green light. Then, i tried to plug it into the wall, and i got the same thing,

Monday 05th of August 2013 / androidforums.com

It will charge but it won't won't let me read the SD card and the phone. And I have plugged my USB stick to the laptop and it works. So it's not the USB ports. This has never happened to me in my 3 year of owning an Android. Starting with the Evo.Thanks in advance.

Soft bricked android not being recognized in usb ports, help?

Tuesday 15th of October 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
My Android phone is soft bricked it is an VS870 LG 4G Lite Lucid II.This is the second time my phone becomes bricked due to my last incident with my samsung. It has nothing to do with it being rooted, but uninstalled some apps in the phone which I thought had nothing to do with the system. IDK last one I uninstalled was zappos. I know how to un-brick my phone, but my only problem is getting the phone to be recognized by my computer. I tried uninstalling and re-installing the drivers, removing the battery from the phone, using different USB ports still no luck . Could it be that the battery percentage went below 75%? if so I have no way else to charge, it does not seem to charge anymore, help?

Help please! Stuck in odin mode and was not trying to flash my phone

Monday 04th of November 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
I've been reading for days on how people tried to flash their phones with the wrong software, and how to hold the volume up or down (apparently there is mass confusion there) Home and Power key to get into a download mode to get out of this screen that I've been stuck on for days. I simply was trying to backup my photos and music before unmounting an sd card to install a larger one. I connected my phone to my computer, it asked me to install samsung kies, i did, it then proceeded to upload files. I left and came back it was stuck on a big android person saying do not turn off. I left it like that all night, when I woke up its been on this ODIN mode screen and I can't get out. ODIN MODEPRODUCT NAME: SGH-I747CUSTOM BINARY DOWNLOAD: NOCURRENT BINARY: SAMSUNG OFFICIALSYSTEM STATUS: OFFICIALQUALCOMM SECUREBOOT: ENABLE FIRMWARE UPGRADE ENCOUNTERED AN ISSUE. PLEASE SELECT RECOVERY MODE IN KIES & TRY AGAIN. I've been trying in samsung kies over and over again, my phone is not recognized by samsung kies, when i connect my phone it loads for a while then comes back saying can't recognize t

Micro SD Card Will Not Mount

Monday 20th of January 2014 / forums.androidcentral.com
I have a new softwinerkf026 (also known as 9" Capacitive Allwinner A13) tablet* running Android 4.1.1 and the 32 Gbt Sandisk micro sd will not mount. (SanDisk 32GB Ultra Android Micro SD (SDHC) Class 10 UHS-1 30MB/s) I tried reformatting the mico sd on my computer with FAT 32 default settings and rebooting the tablet but it still can't be recognized or mounted. I also tried another older 1Gbt sandisk, tried reformatting the mico sd and rebooting the tablet but still not recognized. Under settings / Storage there are two places where it says internal storage/mount SD card but selecting either one pressing long or short does not appear to do anything. There is nothing there that says external SD. I have tried reformatting the 32Gbt card and 1Gbt card with FAT 32 default file allocation, exFat32 and also NTSF but still no recognition. Now its back to FAT32 default file allocation size. I am wondering if this is a setting problem, a hardware problem or an android software or bios problem. Is there any way I can test if the micro sd can be detected by the bios? Your advice would be a
