Constant rebooting regardless of what ROM I use

Wednesday 26th of May 2010 / android.net
Cyanogenmod, stock EPE54B rom, Froyo rom, doesn't matter. No matter what I do, the phone is constantly rebooting itself at random times (though, I could easily trigger a reboot when using googlemaps).I've now gotten to a point where it sometimes goes to the boot splash screen (the colourful X) and then it vibrates seven times and gets stuck. Sometimes it makes it to the lock screen, sometimes it'll reboot right after reaching the lock screen, so on and so forth. Sometimes it'll get frozen during boot and I'll have to remove my battery. As I am typing this, the N1 got to the setup screen (touch the android to start) and then rebooted again back into the setup screen. thus I have already gone down the path of factory resets and the whole bit.I have restored from nandroid backups to no avail. I have tried the phone with and without the sim card to no avail. I feel like I've exhausted all options I can think of.My warranty is obviously void now so I can't just return the device. Do I have any other options or do I have a $600 paper weight sitting on my desk?--thanks in advance

G2X-Do I have a problem

Thursday 12th of May 2011 / android.net
Hi guys,I successfully rooted my T Mobile G2X with SuperOneClick and was planning on installing Gingerbread. I also installed ClockWorkMod ROM Manager (I have been following a step by step on android police.) I did the step that said to flash clockwork mod recovery and then went on to "backup current Rom." It rebooted my phone as it said it should, and it brought up the black screen with the green droidman as it shows it will but it has been sitting here for over 10 minutes and does not seem to be doing anything at all. There is nothing that says "waiting for SD card to mount, etc." It almost seems frozen. If anyone can help, with what to do now I would appreciate it. I have only had this phone for 24 hours! Thanks!

If GPS freezes, can it be recovered without reboot?

Tuesday 05th of July 2011 / forums.androidcentral.com
Hi.My wife and I like to take our phones on walks and record them using GPS and My Tracks.Next time we'll try the compass calibration to improve GPS accuracy - thanks for that! :-)But here's the question:Last week, I couldn't get a good read on my location. It sorta knew where I was, but not very accurately. So I closed My Tracks and opened GPS Status to reset the GPS state and re-download the GPS information. It took me a while to realize that GPS Status was not getting a GPS response at all.I turned GPS off and back on - still no response. None of my programs could access GPS information anymore.Later I rebooted the phone, and GPS was back again. So my guess is that some part of the GPS system (hardware or software) had frozen. Does anyone know of a program or method to fix a seemingly frozen GPS system?I'm thinking that maybe restarting a background task or something might do that, but I don't know enough about the Android system to know what to mess with. Thanks!

My Phone is frozen in the Samsung Logo.

Wednesday 09th of May 2012 / androidforums.com
Hi Please help. I was able to root it successfully and now it just freezes at the "Samsung Galaxy Ace" Logo and that stays there for a long time. I have done a data/cache wipe and everything I can and yet nothing happens. I have downloaded the odin downloader, but when I click start it says "Please connect phones" when my phone is in the Odin mode and shows"Downloading..."with the green Android and "Do not turn off target!!" Please help!!! What's also strange is that if I plug my phone with my USB cable my PC does recognizes the phone as a Device and it does install it drivers as if my Phone is "working"...

Samsung Galaxy s2 WiFi frozen

Tuesday 20th of August 2013 / androidforums.com
So, I have a Samsung Galaxy s2 LTE running android version 4.1.2. I bought it off Kijiji and have had it for almost a year. I haven't had any problems until now.A few weeks back I got caught in a rain storm, my phone got a little damp (it was in my bag) but everything worked perfectly, everything but the WiFi. I'm not sure if the rain had something to do with it, seeing as I know very little about phones, but now my phone WiFi permanently saying "Turning on..." and the WiFi toggle is frozen off as well. I have only tried a hard reset, not a factory reset seeing as I haven't read anywhere that that would work (saving it as a last resort). If you know anything about this problem or what I should do I would really appreciate the help. Thanks !
