User can't download my app after Google Market Update

Monday 05th of September 2011 / android.stackexchange.com
I have a user that is trying to download my app from a Samsung Vibrant running 2.2. But when she gets to the app page in the android market, there is no download button there for her to download! What's weird is once she resets her phone back to factory setting, she was able to download the app, but once the phone is automatically upgraded by Android, my app no longer is available for download again! Have others encountered similar problem? I have been searching the web for similar issues, but am surprised to not be able to find it. Seems like a pretty major problem! Some more background - my app does require 2.2 (which she has), permission wise, my app only require the following: NETWORK COMMUNICATION - FULL INTERNET ACCESSPHONE CALLS - READ PHONE STATE AND IDENTITYHardware controls - control vibratorNetwork communication - view network stateAny help is appreciated!

wi fi - Can't download updates via home WiFi network but can over other networks

Thursday 04th of April 2013 / android.stackexchange.com
I Have a Cisco EA4500-RM, it allows to connect an iPhone 5, a desktop, and a laptop to my home network. When I try to connect my Samsung Galaxy SIII, it shows that it is connected to the network, but it does not allow me to download any updates. Once I connect to any other network (Wi-Fi) it downloads everything without problem. Can anybody tell me what settings are interfering with this or how I can fix it?

downloading - Can't download files to HTC One X

Wednesday 01st of May 2013 / android.stackexchange.com
My phone has stopped allowing me to download any files to the download folder on my sdcard. The download folder is now empty too which it wasn't before and I never deleted the files manually. Its a HTC One X+ so the sdcard is internal rather than an sdcard I've provided. I can still download from the Play Store, update apps or install new ones but anything I try and download through any browser fails regardless of file type. If I browse to the download folder in root browser I can't create a new folder, operation failed. I can create new folders in the sdcard just not in download folder of sdcard. I'm assuming a mount problem of some sort?

But fails to do so and closes the connection. When going to *#*#4636#*#* and into the WiFi Status menu it tells me the following:WiFi state: OnNetwork State: connection lostSupplicant State: DISCONNECTEDRSSI: -200BSSID: SSID: Hidden SSID: FalseIP-adress: 0.0.0.0Mac-Address: /censored/Network ID: -1Link Speed: 1 MbpsWhat should I try to fix my WiFi connection?

mount - Why Android can't be just mounted?

Friday 24th of August 2012 / android.stackexchange.com
I read a lot about rooting android, that it is risky, that I can mess all and get my device completely dead and nothing can be done about it. So my question -- why all these phones can't be just mounted? If I mess up my system with root, I always can boot with live-cd or write disk image directly to /dev/sda. After all, I can just mount broken system and repair it.Why android to not support it? Is it some real technical restriction, related to flash memory or something, that differs between phone and PC/Notebook?

Spotify on Android doesn't download local music, download stalls

Thursday 06th of September 2012 / android.stackexchange.com
I create a playlist from my PC. The playlist successfully appears on my Spotify android app. I then add a song (not from my local music). It successfully syncs and appears on my phone. But when I try to add any local music, any audio file of any kind (mp3, etc), the file immediately appears in the playlist on my phone, but undownloaded. When I click and select download, the download seems to begin, but the progress bar forever remains at 0%.Any ideas?samsung galaxy s2 (European model), GT-I9100spotify android app, v0.5.3.56Android v4.0.4
