motorola droid - Music App not displaying ANY songs now

Wednesday 12th of October 2011 / android.stackexchange.com
The Music app worked fine for years, but now it does not display any songs at all. They are still on my SD card and I have tried the suggestions in this similar recent question: Music Player Not Displaying Songs? and it did not work. I have the original Motorola Droid on Verizon with Android Version 2.2.2. I have rebooted repeatedly, cleared data in Media Storage. Using the ASTRO file system app, I can find the songs and get single songs to play but even after playing a song, Music does not remember it. I can use ASTRO to make a playlist that will show up in Music but it is empty. Another App that let's me set a background image for that App also cannot find any image on my phone. However Gallery can find the images. This just started recently. Did something get updated that broke all of this?

Default Music app not ordering songs correctly

Wednesday 19th of May 2010 / android.net
Anyone else have a problem with the default Music application not ordering songs correctly within an album? I have a few albums that Music lists in the wrong order, most it deals with just fine. Instead, it sorts by the song name in the ID3 tag. It (rightfully) ignores the filename itself. The files are correctly tagged with song numbers. The only other music app I have on my N1 is RockOn, which sorts the same albums correctly- albums look as they should. Applications on my desktop sort correctly as well- 1by1, iTunes, VLC, and WMP.Anyone have any ideas for fixing this? Does the Music app need a a particular ID3 version?

Music App not showing all albums/songs by an artist?

Saturday 14th of May 2011 / forums.androidcentral.com
There are lots of bugs with the Music app. Has anyone noticed this? For example, I have two songs by Weezer and if I do a search they both show up in the search results in the music app. Both have the correct spelling of the artist "weezer". When I click on the sort by artist view, only one song shows up under weezer? Video showing this: I have tried clearing the cache/data for this app and restarting. It still fails.

Music player not recognizing any songs added

Saturday 11th of January 2014 / androidforums.com
I googled this problem and it all said the songs needed to be tagged, I downloaded a tagging program, they all had tags already but I re tagged them and still, no new songs are being recognized in my music player. They are in my file manager. I am so confused and pissed off. I hope it isn't an issue with the new update. This would only happen once in awhile before and would have to download it from elsewhere, this was directly on the phone. Any solutions?

Motorola Droid Zapp App Now Available For Any Android Device!

Monday 10th of February 2014 / droidforums.net
Motorola has finally decided to allow all devices to enjoy the thrill of the Droid Zapp app. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the previously Droid exclusive app it's function was local sharing of photos. You would open the app which would give you a list of photos. You could then drag up two fingers to create a "virtual sharing zone". Anyone within a certain distance of your GPS location could view and download your shared images. You could also add a pin for added security. Previously any phone could receive photos, but only the Droid Ultra, Droid Mini, and Droid Maxx could send photos. Now all devices are able to send and receive photos. The app maintains the Droid moniker because there are still a few Droid exclusive features in the app. Only Droid devices are able to send files other than photos, and only droid devices have "Zap Zones" which allows users to invite friends to a timed event where any photo taken can be shared between devices.
