Unlock A2109 Boot Loader with Ubuntu

Sunday 20th of January 2013 / androidtablets.net
Unlock your android A2109 boot loader with Ubuntu. UNLOCKING YOUR BOOTLOADER WILL FACTORY RESET YOUR TABLET AND WILL RESULT IN DATALOSS. These are general instructions on how to enable fastboot on the Lenovo A2109 within linux. This was achieved on a Lenovo T500 running Kubuntu 12.04 32 bit. This forum and others provided information in making this possible. Some expectation of knowledge of Linux, and Debian based distros is expected when this is written. If you need details please ask and hopefully myself or someone else can point you in the right direction. Sources are listed at the end of the post. There should be no reason that this doesn't work on other distributions such as Debian, Arch, Linux Mint, Fedora, Goose (joke), and Jelly Lime Aid (I couldn't help it). Though it may differ use the forums for your distribution as that should clear up anything that is particular to your problem.Update: 2013-01-27, these instructions should work with a Mac. This was done by member cordoba who states:This totally worked on mac OS X (except you don't need steps 6-8 for mac: Using Hardware D

Unlocking the Boot Loader Guide

Monday 23rd of July 2012 / androidforums.com
Understand this that, every custom rom we install has its own KERNEL which is responsible for overclocking the cpu & other stuff. To install custom roms which contains custom kernels we need UNLOCKED BOOTLOADERS. So, Here's a step by step guide to unlock the boot loader for Xperia Neo V (esp. for newbies like me) :-(Note - While Sony does have instructions on their site on how to unlock the boot loader it's incomplete and may cause confusion among newbies like me)So, anyway, download this file first and follow these steps to unlock your boot loader :-1. First, you should confirm that it is possible to unlock the boot loader of your phone by checking the service menu. In your phone, open the dialler and enter *#*#7378423#*#* to access the service menu.2. In your phone, tap Service info > Configuration > Rooting Status. If Bootloader unlock allowed says Yes, then you can continue with the next step. If it says No, or if the status is missing, your device cannot be unlocked.3. On your computer, click Continue at the bottom of this page (click the blue coloured text, dummy... l

Boot loader unlocking - Information

Wednesday 12th of June 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
My s4 is rooted and I have not unlocked the boot loader so I did not flash a customer recovery. This being said I am very nervous to run the Loki patch. Does anyone have any information regarding patching the boot loader? I really want to put a ROM on this phone I just do not want to Brick my device. Also if I unlock the boot loader can I still get updates when my phone goes to 4.3? I am very confident in Rooting and unlocking phones but this is my new daily driver and I just don't want to have any issues.

Will the new OTA update for RAZR M relock my boot loader and result in loss of root?

Wednesday 24th of July 2013 / droidforums.net
Just got a RAZR M and finally was able to unlock the boot loader and root the phone with Motopocalypse and Droid RAZR M Util 1.20. Recently I heard that the next RAZR M factory update will have an impenetrable boot loader and be unrootable. I am now being pestered to install an update which I assume is this impenetrable one. If I accept this update will I lose root and be unable to reestablish access or will my root access be unaffected? If it will destroy my root capabilities, how do I stop the update pushes? Thanks to anyone in advance who can help with this.Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
