CONFIRMED: Kingo Root and SS work After Latest VZW Note 3 Update!

Wednesday 06th of November 2013 / droidforums.net
The verdict is still out as to whether Kingo App is anything other than a malicious virus ridden software, or an innocent one click root method for many devices. If you do decide to use this app you should do so at your own risk. This root method is completely close sourced so we aren't sure of everything contained with in it. If this bothers you then steer clear. If you don't mind your data potentially being at risk this method is a one click method that works for a long list of devices. It has been confirmed via an XDA thread that this method will work with the Verizon Galaxy Note 3 after the latest OTA update. SafeStrap will also still work after you take the update and root with Kingo App. This is pretty awesome that SS still works after the update. Hopefully Hashcode and other developers will get 2nd init working on this device soon so we can get to flashing roms. Via XDA

Kingo Root on Windows 8.1

Tuesday 10th of December 2013 / androidforums.com
I am trying to root my Verizon Ellipsis 7 and have read that Kingo will do that. I am in USB debug mode and have Kingo installed on Windows 8.1. My tablet shows that I am connected to my PC but Kingo only says "connecting" for a bit and then it tells me to connect my device. Anyone else know how I can root this tablet...I just want to delete bloat ware and play around with it a bit?!?Thanks

Kingo Root.

Thursday 19th of December 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
Does anyone have any experience with the root tool Kingo Root? I found this through some googleing and can't really find any identifying facts about it. Some forums say its malware some say go for it an it works. According to the web site this tool supports many different types of phones and with the wife's GS4 not sure if I want to use it after the last OTA update and there is no root for that phone after the update that I can find.

[HOW TO] Note 3 Update to MJE OTA From Any Build Then Root and Install SafeStrap!

Saturday 11th of January 2014 / droidforums.net
If you have been reluctant to update your Galaxy Note 3 to the latest build in fear that you may loose root forever... I don't blame you. I have always advised against taking official updates from Verizon since they generally block all exploits with each update, however MJE won't block the Kingo Root method. This is because kingo is closed source and they have done an excellent job of keeping their exploits from the OEMs. That being said if you are currently rooted and have safestrap installed you will find that it is impossible to update to MJE via an OTA update. You could easily Odin back to stock then take the update then root via kingo. Droidforums users "KaChow" has put together an in depth tutorial on his tested method of getting your Note 3 to stock MJE and then root. His three step process makes things nice and easy. Check his guide in the thread link below. Guide and Downloads Here

Is the Kingo root exploit the main one?

Tuesday 13th of May 2014 / androidforums.com
Is the Kingo Root exploit the main way to root the Note 3 Verizon model?Just wondered if there was anything else with this warning...lol!WARNING! The Kingo app is a root exploit app from China. Right now there is serious deliberation going on about identifiable information (such as the phone's IMEI) being reported BACK to the developers and China, for possibly nefarious purposes. Possibly. We are not sure why this information MAY be reported back, and KingoSoft is being very secretive. Do NOT proceed unless you are okay with this possibility!

Rooting LG LS840(LG Viper) on ICS with Kingo Root

Tuesday 22nd of July 2014 / androidforums.com
A close friend gave me his old outdated Lg viper 4g lte after finally upgrading to the lg g2. He had never rooted it and told me that he gave up looking for a root method. So after he gave it to me i noticed all the sprint bloatware. This annoyed me. i was on a mission to find a way to root and remove all the junk. after some searching i found a working root method. but it looked like a pain to do. first i had to downgrade to gingerbread for it to work. I didnt feel like doing that. So after some time i almost gave up. Until i remember that i had used an app call "kingo root" to root my samsung galaxy tab 3 in the past. Went ahead and tried to root with kingo and after some fiddling around and a couple of fails i got root access on my lg viper! So here are the steps and required downloads for it to work. im on windows. seeing how this phone is obsolete not sure if anyone finds this useful, but it does work! Make sure your software version is LS840ZVK and android version 4.0.4. or else it might not work or fail!! 1. Download the required drivers for your pc to recognize your

Failed to reboot after root

Thursday 31st of July 2014 / androidforums.com
Hello,i tried to root my Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 wifi edition (GT-P5210). Before i started the root with kingo root I made a backup of all my data with kies and then closed all the kies procces with the task manager. Then i made the root. I allowed USB debugging on my tab, started kingo root and made the root. Everything seemed fine. At the end KingoRoot said that i was a succes and that i only had to wait for the device to reboot. After 1 hour of waiting the device failed to boot. I was still in the boot screen saying: "Samsung GALAXY Tab 3", and it still is. I got panic so I went on my PC and opened kies to restore the data. After plugging the tab into my pc nothing happened. Te device was not detected. So i decided to go into the recovery mode but this didnt work out either. My last try was to go into the downlaod mode and this was a succes. Now the PC seemed to see the tab. I started kies again and it was detecting the device for forever but failed to let me backup the data. Now I dont kow what to do.
