[MOD]Flashable OverClocking Daemon- Use with any ROM

Thursday 11th of August 2011 / forum.androidspin.com
This is a MOD for the My Touch 4G, soon to be made for all of the most popular devices but for now it's for the MT4G and there's another version made for the EVO 3D. This was made by a good friend of mine that was interested in making things easier for everyone to have the Virtuous OC Daemon (information listed in the quote below) to be used on any ROM for our device. If you have questions on this you can post it here or follow the links also listed with in the quoted post below. I will be watching the thread for those having any problems with this and I will help with installing problems if there are any. I have tested this and know for sure that it installs correctly and works specifically for this device. Tested ROM's here:1. MIUI last 3 releases.2. (v1.2.9_r2) CM Nexus Gingerbread 2.3.5 - Faux1233.RoyalGinger 3.04. Royal Senseless 1.2First off i take no credit for the virtuous oc daemon itself, it was developed by rmk40.And credit goes to -viperboy- for the idea, i used his rom and really liked the oc daemon and saw the difference it makes. Check his rom out here. It has a nice i

OTA Update Center brings over-the-air updates to any ROM developer

Thursday 09th of August 2012 / androidcentral.com
Nothing pleases Android fans more than a notice that they have an update. Millions of words have been spent on countless blogs and forums discussing OTAs (or the lack of them) and we get a little giddy when we see the notice that one is available. The folks at the OTA Update Center have worked out the supporting infrastructure and methods to offer a free OTA service to any ROM developer, so that hackers and modders can enjoy that fuzzy feeling an update brings as well. It' not really anything new -- hackers and ROM devs have been doing custom ROM OTAs since the days of the HTC Hero, and we see similar services offered from ROM Manager and Goo.im Manager. The OTA Update Center will work in a similar fashion, where an app will be installed into the system that communicates with the servers to pass out OTA updates to anyone using the ROM. For the end-user, it's a simple and impressive way to keep the OS on your phone up-to-date.The real difference here is to the developers. They no longer need to host files or insert framework for an FOTA system into their ROM, and instead can u

Easily Update Galaxy Nexus to The Official OTA 4.0.4 IMM76K from any ROM or Firmware!

Thursday 31st of May 2012 / droidforums.net
The wait is finally over. After a botched update release Verizon is finally allowing the 4.0.4 IMM76K update to officially roll out. Some of you who were running stock 4.0.2 may have already updated by going to settings, about phone, check for updates. However modders like myself who are running any number of custom Roms wont be able to update this way. We will have to revert back to stock before we can accept the update. What a headache. P3Droid of TeamBlackHat feels your pain and has put together a very nice little update.zip that can be flashed over any Rom or firmware! It does require that you be rooted. You will also need a custom recovery installed like clockworkmod or TWRP. Other than that just wipe data and flash away. Pretty easy huh! This does include IMM76K as well as the new Radios and is even Pre Rooted!Grab the file here: update_imm76k.zipTo flash:Download the file above and get it on your SDcard. (easiest way is to just download directly to phone it will be under sdcard/download)Reboot into custom recoveryMake a nandroid backup (if you feel like it)Wipe Data and cacheI
