Step by step guide to installing Java, Android SDK, and setting up Eclipse.

Wednesday 04th of August 2010 / droidforums.net
I see enough people with questions on setting up the sdk or eclipse or java or whatever so figured I'd make this its own post. Please note everything can be found here Android SDK | Android Developers and this is almost a copy/paste, but people keep asking so figured I'd answer :-)This is everything you need to set up an environment to program Android apps. If any steps don't work or you still have problems feel free to ask questions.JDK 6Java JDK6Google SDK (put it anywhere, i use C:android-sdkhttp://dl.google.com/android/android...06-windows.zipEclipse (galileo distro, can use anyone you like really, just start here it's the most popular)Eclipse IDE for Java EE Developers | Eclipse PackagesADT Plugin for Eclipse:While in Eclipse go to "Help -> Install New Software". After flashing a new ROM is there a way to easily put back apps?

Wednesday 13th of July 2011 / androidtablets.net
I'm currently using Flashback Alpha 5.2 (I know 5.4 has been out for about a week...), which is about the 4th ROM I've tried. I like it, but I'd like to stay on top of the new versions. That being said, I hate having to re-install everything every time I flash a new ROM. Is there an easy way to flash a new ROM then get the tablet back to the way it was (meaning the setup, installed apps, etc.) with the prior ROM?I feel like I'm installing a new OS on my laptop, getting flash, java, MS Office, etc. all installed, then installing a new OS and having to do it all over again and again and again...just want to make sure I'm not missing some easy way to restore the details after changing the ROM.Thanks,P

[Workaround] Force Installing APPS

Tuesday 02nd of October 2012 / androidtablets.net
Even if you got Google Play working on your Coby Device, you will notice, that you can't install some Apps because they aren't compatible with your Device. This Guide may help you to install that Apps with some helpflull tools.ATTENTION: This Workaround doesn't make the Apps work on your Coby in any way. If it really doesnt mach the requiered specifications, the installed Apps won't work. It only bypasses the compatibility checks in google play and during the installation. So it's not granted that the Apps will actually work on your System! Requirements:1. A Windows PC (XP/Vista/7) with JAVA installed2. Debugging activated on your Coby (GB: Settings->Applications->Development; JB: Settings->Development)3. Real APK Leecher4. APK Batch InstallerOptional:1. Android Device which is already registered with google play store2. A USB Cable for connecting your Coby to your PC (not needed when used wireless ADB)3. For Wireless ADB a Tool like ADB Konnekt installed on your CobySo lets get started:Download and Install the Tools from above. As installation and configuring is explained i
