How can I increase my Samsung Galaxy Tablet 10.1 battery life?

Thursday 14th of June 2012 / android.stackexchange.com
How can I increase my Samsung Galaxy Tablet 10.1 (Android) battery life?I am going to use my Samsung Galaxy Tablet 10.1 (with WIFI and/or 3G) for marketing purposes:It's going to play a movie non stop (without sound) and there are no other applications running except for the movie. I would like to use WIFI and/or 3G to update the movies that are going to run. But the tablet is going to be mobile and onroute where it's not possible to charge the Tablet. Meaning I have around 6 and half hours of battery life before I get the first message that my tablet is running out of juice (we've tested that already, but only at one fixed location not in travelling mode (e.g. constantly looking for WIFI connections)). I would like to increase my battery life somehow... I have read some of the other posts here already. So I know that turning of WIFI or 3g would definitely help. But I need WIFI on to update those movies when we come near one of our Hotspots. I know brightness is another thing and that is automatically already set to half brightness. Is there a way to create a Samsung Galaxy Tablet 1

Sunday 20th of January 2013 / androidforums.com
I have this "Android Smart TV Box" from here CDR KINGI was able to flash a firmware from eGreat and rooted the device. Everything was fine until the day comes when i installed an app it messed up my wifi and throws error everytime i turn wifi on.I tried uninstalling the apps to fix the problem, but factory reset did the trick. However, my problem is that i cannot root the device anymore. Im using gingerbreak and it is stucked and found out the superuser is still installed although i have made a factory reset. My bad that i didnt know i should have unrooted first from gingerbreak before factory reset, which means i cannot remove superuser without root access. Is there another way to re-root my device?I don't have a backup of my original stock firmware, but i still have a copy of the img file i used to update firmware, and also the latest official fw of egreat from their site.btw the box only has power and reset button, so i dont know how to boot to recovery mode... ***Update:Tried installing gingerbreak and at some point, installation proceeded without any problem i also fou

One more Wifi won't work thread. Was working perfect before OTA, now big problems

Friday 14th of October 2011 / droidforums.net
I did some searches and found a lot of different posts about wifi problems but none matched my issue. I just got the phone last week. I was playing with it before activating for 3 or 4 days to kind of figure it out since I've never had an android phone. Wifi set up and connected fine. I was online for days without a hitch. Today I activated the phone and all was still good until later I decided to do the OTA update. Now I got no connection. It will show a connection and then a disconnection over and over, but I have no internet connection through wifi on the phone. I tried forgetting the network , did a battery pull then tried setting up network connection again with no luck. I also tried enabling auto ip. The update definitely caused the issue. I had solid wifi performance before the update and my old windows mobile phone still connects to the network with no problem. Does anyone know how to fix this?

TabletConnect's Official Review - Motorola Xoom WiFi

Tuesday 26th of April 2011 / androidtablets.net
Conclusion Overall, the Motorola Xoom performed very well and is a very good tablet. However with a price of $599 for the WiFi version, this is on the high side. In addition, we feel that the Xoom was rushed to the market. It is not complete. First, it launched without being Adobe Flash ready which is a key advantage over the iPad. However by the time we received our unit, Flash 10.2 was available on the Android Market so we installed it without a problem. Second, the micro-SD expansion slot is not useable but will be with a firmware update. Although the tablet has a large 32GB built-in memory, it should still have a working expansion slot. Third, the Xoom was not easily identifiable through two different Windows 7 computers. Windows 7 installed the necessary drivers but we still experienced some problems with the computer recognizing the Xoom. The Xoom is the first table to run Android 3.0 (Honeycomb). Every other tablet manufacturer is probably keeping an eye on how well the Xoom does. This review did not concentrate on Honeycomb but we were impressed with its tablet-specific UI. I

[How-To] Force Motorola Droid 2.1 OTA Update (ESE81)

Wednesday 31st of March 2010 / droidforums.net
Credit to Fabolous @Download this file:https://android.clients.google.com/u...6.fa406da6.zip <--- Direct from Google's Servers!ORsigned-voles-ESE81-from-ESD56.fa406da6.zipPut on the root of your sdcard (not in a folder)Rename to update.zipPower phone offBoot into recovery (power phone on while holding down x)When you see the triangle with the exclamation point, press (& hold) the volume up key and camera button key (only press the camera key down half way)Navigate to “apply update.zip” and press the gold center button on the keyboard to select it. It will start the update processRebootIf your installation is 'aborted', it's probably because you named the file update.zip in Windows, which results in a file called update.zip.zip. Try renaming it to just 'update'EDIT: You can do all this from your phone without using the USB cable.. Using Astro just move the file from your download folder on SD, to the Root of SD..Installing this will remove root access! It will kill wifi tethering. It ONLY installs over 2.01 and all of your apps/ personal info will remain untouched.I

Update Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 P5113 to Android 4.2.2 UEUCMH2 Jelly Bean Firmware

Friday 27th of September 2013 / feedproxy.google.com
The WiFi version of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, which is model number P5113, can now be updated to official Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS. This is the OTA release of the Android system, as the UEUCMH2 firmware has been pushed out by Samsung recently. But if your tablet didn’t received the notification yet, or if your device is rooted, then use this tutorial and learn how to manually update your Tab 2 10.1 P5113 to stock Android 4.2.2 UEUCMH2 Jelly Bean software. The UEUCMH2 is not a major update as the new Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS comes with few improvements that are mostly addressed to the issues that have been reported on the previous version of Android firmware. So, if you choose to flash JB 4.2.2 ROM on your WiFi Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, you will be able to enjoy a more stable platform that comes without bugs or things that aren’t working properly. Furthermore, your tablet will perform faster while the battery drain issue will be long gone. So, as mentioned before, the UEUCMH2 software has been OTA released by Samsung for the P5113 model of Galaxy Tab 2 10.1. Anyway unfortunately
