How to sync tabs in Chrome desktop and Android

Tuesday 07th of February 2012 / androidcentral.com
So we've now got Google Chrome for Android, eh? How's about that. And one of the shining features Google's pimping is the ability to sync your desktop tabs over to your phone or tablet. No muss, no fuss. That's not actually a new feature for mobile browsing -- Mozilla's certainly had it in Firefox and Fennec for quite some time. But today is Chrome's day.So how do you go about syncing your desktop tabs to your phone? First things first: You need to be signed in to your desktop Chrome browser. Hit the little wrench icon that's about halfway down, and make sure you're logged in with your Google account.Next you'll need to hit the "Advanced" button, right next to the "Disconnect your Google Account" button. Hit it, and you've got a bunch of options of what to sync. The option you want, which we've conveniently highlighted above, is "Open tabs."Theoretically, you should now be able to see your open tabs on the Chrome app on your phone or tablet. We say theoretically, because we and others (hat-tip to Mr. James Ken

Accessing Google Bookmarks via Android Chrome

Wednesday 08th of August 2012 / forums.androidcentral.com
I'd like to know how to access my Google Bookmarks via Chrome for my Android. In Chrome (Android), I made sure sync was enabled for my Google account and bookmarks is checked. However, when I open the bookmarks on Chrome (Android), nothing appears. If it's worth anything, these bookmarks were added in Firefox, but again these are Google Bookmarks, not saved locally in Firefox. Thanks.

Android Forums - View Single Post - How to Transfer Bookmarks from Motorola Droid to My Mac Desktop?

Thursday 18th of August 2011 / androidforums.com
Depends probably on what browser you use on your Droid.Free solutions-Default browser can synchronize bookmarks to Chrome using Phonemarks app along with Phonemarks extension-Opera can sync all its bookmarks via Opera Link to Opera on PC and you can export from that. Safari can also access Opera Link website but I dont know if it has sync or import functionality from it. However Opera on PC can export its bookmarks to Safari.-Dolphin Browser can synchronize bookmarks between it and Mac/PC browsers (Chrome, IE, FireFox, Safari) via Xmarks for Dolphin on phone and Xmarks plugin on the browser.Paid-So far the only paid synchronizer I know is Xmarks premium. This one is the same as Xmarks for Dolphin, with the exception that it also works for the default browser, and I think would also work for any browser on the phoneHavent used firefox but I think it can also sync to firefox on PC, from which you can export those bookmarks.

Sync Bookmarks and other browser questions

Sunday 13th of December 2009 / droidforums.net
Question 1:For some reason, eventhough I have made Dolphin the default browser, the Android browser keeps popping up. What am I missing? How can I disable the Android browser, or just make it stay out of my browsing at all times?Question 2:If #1 is not possible, how can I sync the bookmarks for these two? Is there a way to save bookmarks to one central location where all bookmarks can be viewed by both browsers? On firefox/IE I use X-Marks to sync everything, would be awesome if something like this was available for these mobile devices.Thank you!

[Galaxy Tab 2] How can sync desktop bookmarks to Dolphin?

Friday 14th of June 2013 / androidforums.com
Hi. On my desktop PC, I use Firefox (and also have Chrome). I have not been able to find a working solution to get my several hundred Firefox bookmarks to Dolphin HD on my tablet (for free). What I've managed to do so far: * got Xmarks installed on Firefox, and Chrome, on my PC, and synced them.* Chrome desktop then synced to Chrome Android, and to the tablet's 'stock' browser. * Dolphin's bookmark import only sees the stock browser (SB), and no others. However, within that browser, it only imports the bookmarks listed under "Mobile Bookmarks". even though my desktop bookmarks show in the SB, they are not imported into Dolphin for some reason. Xmarks wants $12 per year to sync to mobile, and I really only need it done once. Any help would be appreciated.
