4.0 ice cream sandwich - How to recover lost contacts from samsung galaxy s3

Thursday 25th of April 2013 / android.stackexchange.com
I was closing all my unused running programs on my galaxy S3, and suddenly closed the contacts app. When I checked my contacts afterwards they were all gone. But when I checked my call logs, the corresponding name for each number showed for few seconds, and then disappeared as though all contacts were deleted from the phone.Does that mean it is stored somewhere in the phone? I tried recovering from GMail, but unfortunately I had not sync'd my contacts initially. Please help to recover as they were all my office related contacts.

Sudden loss of contacts on my Samsung Galaxy S - running Gingerbread

Thursday 22nd of December 2011 / android.stackexchange.com
I have recebtly experienced that all my phone contacts suddenly disappeared from my internal phone memory. I could still see the 2 contacts that were on my sim-card, and I have no contacts on my external sd-card.I have looked through the different contact display options under settings, and they were all on.The contacts disappeared without me installing or deleting anything, or any other provocation. And while I was browsing through my call log, I could see the contact names being replaced by the underlying phone no, like a slow delete, very frustrating.I tried to google it, and found that this has happened to many other android users (and not just samsung phones), but I couldn't find a suitable solution to the problem anywhere. It's not catastrophic since I have all my contacts synchronized with outlook, although, I will be loosing the contacts added after my last sync. But I would really like to avoid to have this happen again in the future, and if possible recover my lost contacts. Does anyone have an idea of what has happened, what to do about it and how to avoid it future...?

Galaxy Note 2 Factory Reset And Lost All Photos

Saturday 28th of September 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
Hi There!I am not a tech person but I need help! I was having problems with the samsung galaxy note 2 and sprint told me to factory reset it and the lady walked me thru it on the phone. I thought all the photos saved along with the contacts on my google account but little did I know all the photos deleted. I talked to a friend and know it has the internal sd card that still has the photos somewhere but didnt use an external sd card. How do I get those photos back? I tried different recovery systems on the web and none of them recognize the device? It is in usb debugging... etc... Ive been looking all day on how to recover this. What can I do to get at least some photos from the intertal sd card after the factory reset ??? I know some people say its lost but I see these forums where some people got some of their data back but I am so lost on how to do it! PLEASE HELP!!!
