How to format a 32GB microSD card for Nexus One and Android

Tuesday 20th of April 2010 / androinica.com
Google has acknowledged that there is an issue with Android that can create problems when people attempt to format a 32GB card on their phone. Sure, the Nexus One and many Android phones say they support up to 32GB cards, but the catch is that you have to first format the card on your computer; Android can’t do it directly from the phone. A fix for this issue will come with the next OTA update.I’ve always formatted my SD cards on my computer first and never really thought it was that big of a deal to not be able to do it on the phone. Then put the adapter/reader into your computer’s SDcard/USB slotWait until the AutoPlay notification pops up. Make note of the drive letter, which looks like this (the part that says “Sony Ericsson PC Software (D:)” :Close the AutoPlay window and then go to My Computer (or Computer

Sunday 01st of January 2012 / androidheadlines.com
We really do have a hard time without using the word “BlackBerry” in a sentence without also using the words “dying,” “obsolete” or “time to switch.” But we're also intrigued by how hard both RIM and enterprising hackers have been in running full-fledged Android apps — including the Android Market — on the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet. Our cousins at CrackBerry.com have done up a great walkthrough of how to install the Android Market an other Android apps onto the PlayBook, including entering into developer mode, resigning keys and other crazy stuff that has us asking this…Continue Reading HereCrackBerry tells how to install Android Market, apps to the PlayBook tabletPhil Nickinson – androidcentral.com

Asus Gearing Up to Launch Android Powered Tablet Phone-

Friday 27th of May 2011 / androidheadlines.com
Although we haven’t seen the “official” number yet regarding the Transformer launch, I will go ahead and call it an overwhelming success. So what’s next for Asus- A new tablet- A new smartphone- How about BOTH.Asus is no stranger when it comes to teasing their customers and these newly leaked Asus’ promos for the 2011 Taipei Computex tradeshow, it looks like they’re getting ready to “break the rules.” While everyone is up in arms over what the mystery device could be, my guess is the device will be Asus’ Eee Pad MeMO that was shown off at CES earlier this year and was scheduled to launch in early June.…Continue Reading HereAsus Gearing Up to Launch Android Powered Tablet Phone-Chris Chavez – phandroid.com

how to update android on tablet manually

Tuesday 04th of June 2013 / androidforums.com
hi everyoneI bought a trio stealth g2 tablet a month or two ago and the android os it has on it is 4.0 it has never given me the option toupdate through the settings or anything and their website doesn't even mention this tablet.so back at radioshack the guy said something about being able to root the tablet and update it manually. I am pretty good with linux and some coding but I have never owned a android before I found a few websites mentioning roms and rooting the tablet, but they dontsay where or how to do any of the steps. I want to be able to run theofficial apps still so I was planning on sticking with the official android releases. I think I have the app moving down, just click move to sd card in the settings for the apps I don't want to lose. sorry if I misunderstood something, I haven't had much time to look any of it up yet.wow its hard to type of this thing...
