Backup plus pictures in gallery... How do i delete?

Sunday 13th of January 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
So, i regrettable used the backup plus program on my phone. I've used it before to back up my contacts successfully, but not since i got my S3.. Anyways right to the crux of the matter. The program supposedly "backed up" my pictures and videos to my email (even though i've looked for them in there and can't find them) and for some reason, left duplicate copies in my gallery on my phone under the label "backup plus". Not only is this irritating to have cluttering up my gallery, but I CANT FREAKING DELETE THEM. Sorry for the caps-lock, this is just really irritating me. I've tried the traditional method of deleting them by just clicking on them and hitting the menu key then delete, and i've tried mass deleting them. None of it works. It just doesn't do anything. I've even tried holding on a picture and going to "details" and finding its location through the file manager and deleting it that way. None of it works. The worst part is, I don't know if these duplicate albums are taking MORE space on my phone. If so then it really really REALLY bothers me. Either

Question about backup assistant.

Saturday 15th of December 2012 / forums.androidcentral.com
So, I had a few questions about the program backup assistant that came on my phone. So i know that it backs up my pictures, videos, contacts and music. Supposedly. I have it set to backup only when iam connected to wifi and it seems to be doing so successfully, but whenever it backs up, it saves extra copies of my pictures and videos in another folder in my gallery. so ill have two copies of each backed up picture or video. Why is that? I thought that it saved it to my email..? My question is, if I delete those duplicate copies will it erase the backed up ones too? I don't have much experience with this app since I never used it before I had my S3.It does the same thing with my music that isn't saved onto my Sd card. I really don't want to have useless duplicate pictures hogging up my limited storage. Can I safely delete them? Also, if I did do a factory reset (post Jelly bean update) how exactly do I retrieve them? If someone could help me with this but would greatly appreciate it. I am somewhat of inexperience, before my S3 I never had anything more recent than gingerbread on my ph

Need help, deleted stuff on my sd card

Friday 25th of May 2012 / androidforums.com
I have a Motorola Electrify 2.3.5.I rooted it using the instructions at How to Root Motorola Electrify 2.3.5 for Dummies GuideIt rooted successfully, I then used MyBackup Root to back up the Applications & Media then it asked me where I wanted to back it up to and I selected "Local (/mnt/sdcard-ext)"It was towards the end of backing up and the battery died.I then restarted my phone and opened up Astro which is a file explorer program.. I navigated to "/mnt" and told it to delete "sdcard-ext"It spent a while deleting it so I thought it froze.. so I turned off the phone and turned it back on.. then realized that I store my pictures on the sd card and may have deleted them.Sure enough when I open gallery it says All photos 986 items.. I had around 1,500 or more... is it possible to get them back? Also videos it says 5 items.. I had 17 I believe. Is it possible to recover any of this from my backup or using any 3rd party program?I realize how dumb this must sound but if anyone could help me that would be great.I also hope this is in the right forum if it i

SD Card bad, what happens to music and photos? Sync questions?

Wednesday 14th of August 2013 / androidforums.com
Please excuse me if I posted this before.Recently my GS3 gallery would have black thumbnails and occasionally say "can't load photo". It kept getting worse so I copied some of the pictures to my computer. Now the Samsung branded SD card that came with the phone is no longer recognized (no SD card inserted it says) by the phone or the computer.I don't understand how Google Android Sync works. If my stuff was synced and now the card is bad, won't the files in the cloud be deleted? Is sync one-way? In other words, if my phone automatically puts my music or photos in the cloud, do I have to explicitly delete them in order for them to be deleted, or with the system see them missing on my phone and delete the backup copy in the cloud?Where are my synced files if I decide to use the Android sync feature? Please help; Google was NO help. Thanks!Sam

Auto Backup album?

Wednesday 11th of September 2013 / androidforums.com
I don't recall any other phone I've had doing this, but when I go into the Gallery app there are there albums: Camera, screenshot, and Auto Backup. The Auto Backup has a little chrome icon in the lower left corner... How do I delete this backup? I turned off photo syncing with Google+ and deleted the pictures there, but the album is still on my phone. There's no option that I can see to delete pictures via Gallery -- I can select them and share, but no trashcan to delete. I do use Chrome on my phone... but don't see any photo backup setting there. I have gone into Gallery > settings and turned off photosync... so no new pictures are being added to this backup album. I'm at a loss as how to delete it... ideas?

ZTE Majesty

Friday 29th of November 2013 / androidforums.com
[B]Hi:Couldn't find my version of the ZTE but it is a 4.1 Android from Straightalk.I accidentally did a backup to Google (don't have Picasa or Google + activated now but did when I first turned on the phone) so now I have 1000 pictures showing in my gallery(under autobackup) and don'[t know how to remove them. Have done everything possible on the Google web page but they still show on my ZTE and will not delete. Any way to delete them off the phone without a complete reset?[B]
