Nexus 7 dock review

Tuesday 22nd of January 2013 / androidcentral.com
The long-overdue Nexus 7 accessory brings contact charging and audio output - if you can find oneAfter what's felt like an eternity, we finally have our mitts on the official ASUS dock for the Nexus 7 tablet. This would be the dock that finally takes advantage of those four little gold contacts on the side of the tablet , allowing you to charge the device without having to worry about plugs. That's a technology that goes back to the Nexus One days (and you'll recall how that dock took its sweet time to get to us, too), and we're glad to finally have it with Google's premiere 7-inch tablet.Google's still not selling this dock, though, and availability is spotty with other online retailers. We picked ours up for about $40 before shipping. This isn't an intricate accessory by any means, but it's very much a welcome one. A few quick thoughts after the break:If you ever used the Nexus One dock or the Galaxy Nexus dock, you know what you're getting here. Plug in a microUSB charger -- you'll have to provide your own -- then place the tablet in the doc

How long does Nexus 7 repair take?

Thursday 10th of January 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
I sent my Nexus 7 off a week ago and the online RMA tracker just says "repair in progress" I was hoping ASUS would work faster. After all, I did spend my money on a product of theirs that broke. So if any of you have sent your Nexus 7 in, I'd be happy to hear how long it took them. More info: My N7 wouldn't turn on or charge, so I sent it in. I thought they'd just replace it and I'd be done with this nightmare. Obviously, I was wrong. :'(

Does it matter how long you leave N7 on charge

Sunday 23rd of September 2012 / forums.androidcentral.com
I know nothing about batteries and was wondering if it matters how long I leave the Nexus 7 on charge. Say I plug it in at night and leave it until the next night will it harm the battery? Is it better to unplug after 3/4 hours once fully charged, or doesn't it make any difference?

How do you charge your Nexus 7

Friday 20th of July 2012 / forums.androidcentral.com
Ok so i was wondering how everyone here charges their Nexus 7. Right now mine is at home sitting on the charger as it was about 35% when i woke up this morning and wanted to make sure it was fully charged when i get home from work. Think that's too long for it to stay on the charger? Or should i just use it like my phone, charge it at night then power it off during the day maybe?

Nexus 7 battery and OnLive

Tuesday 16th of April 2013 / androidtablets.net
I am not quite sure if this is the correct place on the fourms to post this, but I am wondering how long the battery lasts with OnLive with the game Just Cause 2, I tried it for about 5 minutes, and 2% was gone already, so I am wondering how long it will lass on a full charge, with the brightness at max. I am also wondering how I can charge it, but still play if my controller is plugged in already.Thanks.

Nexus 7 2013 charging times?

Wednesday 30th of October 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
Hello, I've been using my new Nexus 7 for a few days now and I've found the charging time to be very slow in comparison to my previous android devices (Galaxy Tab 2, Galaxy S3 Phone etc) How long should you expect a full charge to take with the screen locked using a mains cable? I'm using the stock cable, mains adapter and the unit is brand new, it's nopt taking days to charge 50% or anything silly, but it seems to take longer than I would have expected!

Nexus 7 Charging Times/USB Cable Specs?

Wednesday 30th of October 2013 / androidforums.com
Hello,I'cve read a lot of conflicting info on the charging times and practises when using the supplied USB cable etc.I think the supplied USB cable is far too short, but people have said that the supplied USB cable is capable of taking 2A which is unusual, where can I find a longer replacement USB cable of the correct specs to charge the Nexus 7 (2013)?Also, how long should a full charge take using the mains power when the tablet is just locked with the screen off?Is it best practise to let the battery discharge fully and charge fully a few times or would it be better to charge as often as possible and keep it as close to 100% as possible? Thanks

How is your Nexus 7 battery life?

Wednesday 08th of January 2014 / androidforums.com
I see a lot of posts about battery life draining faster on the New nexus 7 vs the old one, but when I look up the specs on Asus site, the old Nexus 2012 is listed at 9 hours even though it has a slightly larger capacity battery than the one on the new nexus 2013. The nexus 2013 is listed as 10 hours. So I decide to do my own test by taking note of how long my battery can last after a full charge. On normal usage which consists of web browsing and some youtube videos, I'm getting a good 8-10 hours before I go below 10%, pretty on par with the battery life estimate of 10 hours given by Asus on the Nexus 2013 specifications. My nexus 7 is the wifi 2013 model. It is rooted but running stock 4.2.2 KitKat.Tell me about your nexus battery life. Does it hold up as well?

How to delete all data of Nexus 7 (2012) which doesn't turn on

Saturday 28th of June 2014 / forums.androidcentral.com
Hi, the other day I had to charge my Nexus 7 (32GB, 3G, 2012), nothing special there. But after charging it all night it wouldn't turn on anymore. No battery indicator, nothing. Tried all the tricks provided by Google support: holding the power button for a long time; all possible combinations of pressing the power button and volume button(s), but still nothing. Also tried another charger as Google indicated and charging it overnight again and repeating all the steps of the buttons. Still nothing. It didn't fall or something, so it's not an unplugged battery connector. My tablet is not rooted and is on the latest Android version (4.4.4) I think, but can't check it. The Nexus 7 is not recognized by my pc when connected via USB. So, now after contacting the shop, I can return it to them. Only thing I want to do before returning it, is deleting all the data off the tablet. I don't need a backup, just wipe all the data (or do a factory reset). Since it won't turn on, I can't get it into the factory reset boot screen. Can anyone tell me how to do that (tools, guide)? Just looked into t

Sunday 13th of July 2014 / forums.androidcentral.com

After charging the tablet for 20 minutes or so it finally came alive. it seems to me that it takes forever to charge this tablet Questions 1. What is production date of your tablet2. How long does it take to fully charge your tablet3. Was your nexus dead out of the box 4. Are there anyone nexus 7 tablets built in 2014? 5.
