Problems connecting to Wifi, need help please.

Monday 25th of January 2010 / droidforums.net
Hi everyone. I'm using the Motorola droid and when I'm at my house I can connect to my Apple Airport Extreme wireless connection perfectly. My problem is I'm going to Southern IL University at Carbondale IL and on campus their wireless net for the campus runs on a Cisco VPN client where you have to download a program that allows you to enter your user name and password to connect and I can not figure out how to get this connected. I've found a few topics on here talking about VPN clients but haven't found the one that really explains what to do or is it even possible. I'm a definite newbie when it comes to working with this system. Anyone have any suggestions for me? I really need to be able to connect up there because the 3G coverage is spotty on campus and some rooms have cell signals blocked out completely. Another minor problem while I'm asking, most the time when someone sends me a text that has a pic or video attached it either won't show them or will just show a very small pic in the upper left part of the screen. Sometimes I'll get the sound but no pic. Any fixes for that?

Oh ya, they have setup instructions on the website for the I-phone's, palm's, and a couple others I think. I do know the latest I-phone software update has made the connection really buggy for a lot of them. But no, trying the same steps as the I-phone's, or any of the others they list does not work, nor does trying to pull a little bit of everything out of each to try different combo's. None of the files you have to download for any of the other systems want to open on the droid, or run. Says something that its not compatible or something along those lines. I'd say I've asked about 30 or so people with droids now and I've not found anyone yet that's gotten it to connect. I'm starting to wonder if those files for each system on their website are the problem, cause with a laptop, you won't connect till you download it and I can't get one they have listed to load properly without saying its the wrong format. They have about any system you could think of listed with step by step instructions except the android. Is the droid similar system wise to the linux, mac, or any of those other op

For those having problems connecting to WIFI

New to the site. Don't know if this has been posted before but if it hasn't, it may help someone else. If you are having a problem connecting your Acer A100 to wifi you may want to check this out. If you have any lower case L in your router password please remove it. The reason is that due to Androids great wisdom they place a number 1 in place of the lower case L. If you watch it when you are entering your password you will see that it comes up as a number 1.This happens not only in my Acer but my son's as well. This only happens as far as I know when you are entering a password in the password box. Other boxes seem to be ok when entering a lower case L. Acer help told me that this was normal. You figure that one out.

Problems connecting to WiFi

Sunday 16th of June 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
I've been wondering what has caused some difficulty in connecting to wireless networks. The phone will show wireless connections are available, and I will pull down the notification bar and see there are open networks available (no apparent security). One of two things will happen at this point. I select the network, and the phone can't seem to connect to the network even though the network has a strong signal. The other thing that will happen is I will connect to the wireless network, but there is no data connection even though the signal is strong. Posted via Android Central App

Hisense Sero 7 Pro drops down to low price of $129, LT model just $79

Thursday 08th of August 2013 / androidauthority.com
It wasn’t terribly long ago when paying $350 for a 7-inch tablet probably wouldn’t have sounded all that crazy. In recent times, we’ve seen tablet prices drop considerably, while still retaining reasonably solid specs. One such low-cost offering is the Hisense Sero 7 Pro, which essentially packs the same specs as the Nexus 7 (2012) yet originally priced at just $149. Now a great deal is about to become an absolute steal, as Hisense has announced a price drop down to just $129!For nearly rock-bottom pricing you get a Tegra 3 quad-core processor, a gig of RAM, 8GB storage, microSD expansion, HDMI output, a 5MP rear cam, 2MP front cam, and a 7-inch 1280 x 800 resolution display. There’s also WiFi, Bluetooth, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and a battery that Hisense claims will make it through about 10 hours of use.For those keeping score, the Hisense Sero 7 Pro might have less storage than the Nexus 7 (2012), but it also has the advantage of HDMI output, a rear cam and microSD expansion at a killer price. As it should go without saying, the tablet doesn’t hold a candl

Problems connecting to wifi, says wifi null?

Tuesday 31st of December 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
Recently my samsung skyrocket started having problems connecting to my wifi, it keeps trying to connect then it all the available networks drop off, and it starts scanning again. Sometimes it will say wifi null. Not sure why this randomly started, nothing changed. I tried setting the mode to 2.4 only and tried updating the phone, but nothing worked.
