Here is how to turn that camera shutter sound off.

Tuesday 29th of May 2012 / forums.androidcentral.com
I LOVE this camera. It is awesome to be able to snap a dozen photos and pick one(s) that you like. Seriously cool! That shutter sound though is kind of annoying so I used to kill it. I could not find a way to turn it off within the camera settings so I just created a Tasker profile so that when the camera app launches it turns silent mode on. You can snap away and you won't hear a thing. Tasker then automatically turns silent mode off when you exit the camera app so you don't even notice it. If there is a way to set this in a setting someplace I have just not seen it yet. Either way it is a good lesson in using Tasker. ii I also tested to make sure that if you already had the phone in silent mode that Tasker did not turn it off when you exited the camera app. It doesn't. It does indeed return the phone's audio to its previous state before you launched the camera. This includes vibrate mode as well. This all works fast and requires nothing on your part. It is just quiet now. ii I just thought I would share for anyone who wanted to remove that shutter click! There may be an easier way

Some people with certain branded x10 handsets (like those on T-Mobile UK) do not have the option to have no shutter sound in the stock camera app, this very short guide will tell you how to disable it.You must be rooted to be able to do this, although, if you do not wish to keep your phone rooted, you can temporarily root your phone using z4root, then follow this short guide, and phone will no longer be rooted after phone restarted.First of all (after root) you need to download root explorer ($3.87 /

New Nexus S 2.3.6 OTA Update Rolling Out (GRK39F), Reportedly Fixes Tethering – Here Is How To Install It Manually

Tuesday 27th of September 2011 / androidheadlines.com
A few weeks ago, a Nexus S update 2.3.6 (GRK39C) with voice search fixes started rolling out, but it was immediately discovered to break Wi-Fi and USB tethering. After many complaints, Google pulled the OTA, and it seems like they’ve spent the last couple of weeks making sure everything works as expected.A new update surfaced tonight, also numbered 2.3.6, but this time bearing build GRK39F. While there is no official changelog, based on the fact that an update with the same exact build hit the Nexus One a few days ago and didn’t break tethering, I think…Offic…Continue Reading HereNew Nexus S 2.3.6 OTA Update Rolling Out (GRK39F), Reportedly Fixes Tethering – Here Is How To Install It ManuallyArtem Russakovskii – androidpolice.com

How to remove the camera shutter sound?

Tuesday 16th of July 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
I just bought a Galaxy S4 and I saw it's quite impossible to disable the camera shutter sound. I already tried to: 1) put mute or vibration mode 2) search for an option in the camera setting 3) installed Enforced Stream Silencer Nothing works the only workaround is explained here: This actually works for me too, but of course it's not really comfortable. There are not other methods or applications as Enforced Stream Silencer which work on my Galaxy S4 too?
