Samsung Galaxy Note 2 LTE Android 4.1.2 update package emerges

Monday 03rd of December 2012 / androidcentral.com
Samsung has been hard at work preparing Android 4.1.2 updates for a number of its Galaxy smartphones, and it seems the first device to get the upgrade will be the international 4GLTE version of the Galaxy Note 2 (GT-N7105). That's the version that supports LTE on Euro-friendly 800, 1800 and 2600 MHz bands, not to be confused with the 3G/HSPA-only version we reviewed back in October.Today's firmware package comes via unofficial Samsung update archive Samsung-Updates.com, which shows it has the build numberN7105XXDLK7. The version available right now has Vodafone South Africa branding, but that shouldn't stop it working on other carriers' Note 2 LTE devices, assuming they carry the model number GT-N7105.We imagine we'll begin to see Android 4.1.2 rolling out over-the-air for various Samsung devices soon. Earlier rumors had suggested the first Samsung 4.1.2 updates were due to begin in December.Android 4.1.2 is a minor update to the OS, introduced in October, shortly before Android 4.2 hit. Aside from the usual bug fixes and tweaks, the most visible changes include

After some decent amount of waiting, Samsung has finally released the Android 4.0 ICS update for their beloved half tablet half smartphone device called the Galaxy Note. But, as many owners of this particular device have noted, the update itself is far from bug free. Thanks to some recent work from Samsung, we are pleased to announce that the official ICS update for Galaxy Note N7000 (the international version) just got a minor update of its own in the form of the DXLP9 ICS 4.0.3 Firmware package.Officially, the DXLP9 ICS 4.0.3 Firmware update for the Galaxy note has been released in its OTA version, but as we know, these updates tend to arrive gradually to the users worldwide. This may result in some of you guys out there not having the update available, while others have been enjoying it for quite some time. This of course will not make the first batch of users happy, so you might want to go with the tethered update. This tethered update is the heart of this article, and during the following lines you will read all that you need to know in order to successfully apply the DXLP9 ICS 4

Flash Rooted VRBLJ1 Jelly Bean Firmware Update for Verizon Galaxy S3

Monday 12th of November 2012 / android.gs
The guys at XDA aren’t resting and they’ve leaked a brand new Jelly Bean 4.1 update, which is also rooted and it comes with a tool that avoids the ‘flash counter’ service. It works with the Verizon variant of Galaxy S3 mode number I535. Use all the instructions that I’ve listed in this post and you’ll manage to successfully flash this new update without too much problems.Binary Counter is a service that has been installed by Samsung on all devices as a security measure. It counts all the custom ROMs you’re installing on your device but, mrRobinson from XDA managed to create a firmware package that can be flashed using ODIN without raising the flash counter. Installing the update in this post will install a rooted firmware that is also running stock Samsung firmware. Also, by using this update you will still receive notifications about official OTA updates. In order to successfully flash this update, you will need to read the preparation guide below. Here’s what you need to know: Install the VRBLJ1 build of Jelly Bean only on the Verizon

Firmware available for ROCHY 10A - SAWEE 10A (Infotmic based)

Sunday 11th of March 2012 / androidtablets.net
After along time I not used my tablet, it refused to start up and it also lost its recovery image.I try different kind of firmware but without result, some could start up my pad but lose some functions. Then I decided to build a new firmware package out of parts from other firmware and this I like to offer to other members with the same problem, see below how to do. This is agood working firmware for SAWEE 10 also know as Rochy 10A (Infotmic based).I tested on my tablet with outstanding result and all functions runs well.Use the program “Win32DiskImager” on your Windows machine (no need install).Tip: If you use Win32DiskImager be sure the image file is in the same directory (root of Win32DiskImager).I use in my case a 4Gb SD card (FAT32).First write the image “flash10.1-android2.2” just to made a bootable SD card, then delete the map “android” from the SD card and replace it with the new “android” map.Put the SDcard in the upper SD slot (between the 2 USB slots”of the tablet and turn on the power, the firmware will flash automatic

Heimdall Firmware Package

Sunday 27th of November 2011 / androidforums.com
Hello! So i thought this might be a good time to start a heimdall thread here since i am now a proud owner of the sch-m828c. I've been googling around trying to find a firmware package to download for this wonderful unit and can't seem to find one, and yes i checked on samfirmware.com. I did come across what appeared to be generic samsung firmware packages over at xda but wasn't willing to try them out for the sake of not bricking my phone just yet. im hoping to find someone in here with more time and experience using heimdall and linux than I have might be able to dig something up or maybe even create something for us linux users. Also i'm hoping that having the firmware package for heimdall will also help solve some of the issues im have with connecting my phone in download mode. I did see shabby's post in another forum (may have been the prevail) about heimdall not supporting OPS but i'm not sure what OPS is and am hoping yet again that it doesnt apply to the precedent. So... its almost 1 in the morning and am looking this post over and feel as if I've been rambling. Maybe one of
