How To Fix Lag Issues On Nexus 7 On Android 4.2 Jelly Bean

Thursday 29th of November 2012 / androidtablets.net
By Rajesh Pandey on November 28th, 2012 Android 4.2 is without a doubt one of the most buggiest release from Google ever. The latest version of Android is filled with bugs and instability issues including random reboots, minor bugs, performance issues and much more. Nexus 7 users, in particular, have been facing severe lag issues on their tablet ever since they installed the Android 4.2 update. Thankfully, an XDA member

GPS Problems on Nexus 7 (2013)

Saturday 27th of July 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
I bought a brand new Nexus 7 (2013) and am having problems with the Satellite GPS. The GPS only works for about 10 minutes or so after first using it. If I swap apps or use another app that uses GPS, my GPS dies (I'm testing using GPS Status with WiFi off). I have to completely power off the device and power it back on again for it to work once more.

GPS issues on Nexus 7 2nd Gen

Friday 09th of August 2013 / androidforums.com
Hey all!Bought my first tablet a few days ago after owning an android phone past couple years. It is amazing, but the GPS chip seems to randomly stop working, although it is activated. I bought the tablet for back country navigation, as my phone requires the mobile network chip to activate if I want the GPS chip.Ive done several tracks using Backcountry Navigator Pro, and the GPS chip stops working until I do a reboot. Longest it worked was about 20 mins, the shortest probably under a minute. Same problem using GPS Status app.I work at a National Park, so have no need for Google Maps. Havnt even used it, so not 100% sure if it is app, OS or hardware related.I look forward to learning more about this tablet and our community!Edit: BTW - activating the GPS chip is a real pain in the arse. I get spammed to agree to Google's location junk.Cheers!

Sync iTunes video and music files to Nexus 7 2nd Gen for watching without DRM trouble

Monday 26th of August 2013 / androidtablets.net
The Nexus 7 2 is the best small tablet you can buy. It houses a ridiculously sharp, bright screen, its gaming performance is second only to the fourth-generation iPad, and as a Google-branded tablet it will always see the latest version of Android before any other tablet brand.Except taking tablet for playing games, many people also like to watch movies on Nexus 7 2 tablet. But, have you tried to put and play iTunes movies on Nexus 7 2? The process won't be smooth. Because, iTunes movies are protected by Apple's Fairplay DRM protection. Nexus 7 2 doesn't have a license to play iTunes contents. As for playing itunes videos on Nexus 7 2, you need a program which is able to remove iTunes DRM protection as well as converting them to MP4 which Nexus 7 2 natively supports. So it’s necessary for your to choose a DRM video converter. Pavtube ChewTune is highly recommended. Which is professional in dealing with kinds of DRM protected movies. Including iTunes HD movies/TV shows, Blu-ray/DVD digital copies, Amazon instant videos, and other digital movies. Try to test it to check if it is

Get a lockscreen camera widget on your Nexus 7(2nd gen)!

Saturday 31st of August 2013 / forums.androidcentral.com
Hey, we all know that Google did a wonderful job on the new Nexus 7 tablet! One of the major changes was the introduction to the rear camera! But Google did not provide a default lock screen widget for launching the camera on the nexus 7 like the Nexus 4 or galaxy nexus. But don't worry! I've made an app and launched it on the Play Store which is basically a lock screen camera widget, which looks like the Nexus 4's camera widget . Moreover, my app is specifically designed for launching the camera MUCH faster than the camera widget on the Nexus 4! Please try it out guys.! THE BEST PART: IT DOESN'T NEED ROOT ACCESS! More information and playstore download link here:

Personal Review - amFilm Bye-Bye Bubble Screen Protector for Nexus 7 2nd Gen

Wednesday 23rd of October 2013 / androidforums.com
I was doing some online shopping last week for my new Nexus 7 2nd Gen and wanted to get a screen protector since I used my tablet a lot for work. I have used protectors in the past, but wanted something just a little better than what I had used before. In the past it seemed like no matter how hard I tried, there would still be dust trapped underneath or it would go on uneven. So I looked around for something new and better. Well, I found it!!The amFilm Bye-Bye Bubble HD Clear Screen Protector came in a pack of 1 and came with install instructions, a cleaning cloth, dust stickers and overall pretty nice packaging. I used the included cloth to clean my screen before applying. The application was easy and I only had a single bubble to get rid of, which was very easy to get rid of with the removal card compared to other sp's I have tried for my other devices. The SP went down differently than others I've used, sort of a fluid like motion even though its not wet at all, it was really cool! The price is great for the quality - $8.95 to protect my screen is a nice value! On top of it, I can

Nexus 7 (2nd gen) wifi issues?

Sunday 03rd of November 2013 / androidforums.com
I just won (ebay) a nexus 7 (2nd gen) 32GB Wifi. I've been reading on bad wifi issues with the nexus 7 (slow connections). Is this something that has been corrected in a software/firmware fix? Is it a general issue or is it a hardware issue that varies from device to device? Just hoping i don't have this issue when i receive the device.thanks...
